BEHOLD BABY FEDERER!!!!! (Video)

I love watching these old fed vids particulary listening to the commentary. Most of them said that he would be a great top ten player and how his elegant game would transition well. They were definitely correct. His backhand and movement look great in this video. However I must say I dont miss the ballcap and the dark green overgrips.

federer had a special game back then his forehand was soo long and loopy and his slice shot was very good at a young age. rafter was soo tough at the net. federer with the rediculous angles and the makings of a champion

Great clip, thanks for the link!

Rafter was awesome, it's too bad that he didn't play Federer in both their primes.

Fed's first slam appearance, right?

Yea, Rafter was great. He was really great at the net, although Federer's game was a long ways from where it would eventually be.

Federer looked a little chubbier there.

Fortunately, no-more backwards cap.

Nice video. Few things I noticed. Or I think I did... he kept his arms extended more on the serve and forehand before contact. I feel like he keeps his arms/elbow in tighter on both shots now, really snapping his shots more.

Also, his backhand was slightly different, the racket is slightly raised at contact, in a slight "v" as opposed to how it's parallel to the ground these days.

And man he seems to be walking around like Sampras in between points.
