I’m in! Playing some really decent tennis at the moment, and able to move so much better than last year. My knee turns one year old on December 27th! Courts are pretty easily available mid-day during the week. Weekends and evenings are usually jam packed.

There’s a skateboard park in downtown Redmond, and a smaller one at a former park-n-ride location less than a mile from my club.

There isn’t much snow yet in the mountains. We’re in the middle of several days of dry but cold weather, and I think the next storm system this weekend will be accompanied by warmer temps that will raise the snow level up pretty high. I think there may be some probability of a cooldown and possible lowland snow right as you arrive so the mountains will begin to accumulate snow.

What types of food are you interested in?

I believe our club instituted a policy of one guest per one member on a court, so doubles would be two members and two guests. I don’t believe I can bring in three guests for doubles with only me as the member. I’ll check on that.

In all this time, I have still not hit with @schmke!

Anything. I'm open to trying anything.

One possibility would be to two courts of doubles.

One court has 3 member and 1 guest. The other court has 2 members and 2 guests.
Then the guest on the first court gets "lost" and wanders into the second court by accident, and one of the members on the second court also coincidentally gets lost and wanders into the first court by accident.

Hah! Well, that is a way to circumvent rules that I haven’t thought of!

You do remind me that I haven’t asked what the current rule is regarding numbers of guests on a court.

A member of our club that I know well (and occasionally instruct) is a famous restauranteur. Let me see what he recommends since I rarely eat out (I live a very boring life).

I mostly live a boring cook-at-home gastro-life but when I travel, I like to try new places.

Landed last night. Jetlag is real. Just woke up from a 2 hour nap that a banshee could not have woken me up from. If I had scheduled a tennis during the time of a nap, I would have curled up on the ground and gone to sleep at the first changeover.

Okay, the rule is that I can have three guests in the court only if the court has not been reserved by 8 pm the previous day or that same day. Otherwise, there must be two members for two guests.

So that pretty much leaves courts at 6 am or 7 am, and sometimes at 2:30 pm. Everything else is usually reserved days in advance.

I checked just now and tubing is open at the Summit at Snoqualmie, but no lift tickets are available before Tuesday, December 17th. If anyone has any other local ski information, please post it here.

Snoqualmie pass is snowing hard right now, and chains are required except on all wheel drive vehicles. Snow is forecast through Tuesday, after which it all turns to rain since it’s going to warm up about 10 degrees F here in the lowlands.

There was a landslide on Highway 99 in British Columbia today and there’s an advisory telling people not to travel between Whistler and Vancouver. It sounds like Canadian regulations are pretty much the same as here in Washington. AWD vehicles must have either M&S or 3PMSF tires.

Was able to hit once with @Injured Again and also get some on the snow at Whistler.. Tried the Epic tracking app. Went up and down 32+ miles one day. Some of the runs were long and at my snail speed it took 30+ minutes to make it all the day down to the village non-stop.
