Ben Shelton and Flavio Cobolli have a tense exchange after 3 hr match

No one is perfect as a teenager.

There is no pass for being 19-20 and not being level headed to some degree, especially when his peers like Alcaraz/Sinner never engaged in such activities.

At 19-20 we've all had our moments when we were schooled by the 30-35 year olds around us. If we never got a pass back then why should Rune get a pass? Stan schooled him well, Rune speaks a lot and performs nothing. He is a brat and he once said he will break Nadal's record for 14 French opens.

When the parents tell you how great you are and what amazing tennis you play from an early age and start building you up, they start to think they are invincible.

Rune and Shelton firmly have their heads stuck up their axx, both brats should learn how to conduct themselves with more dignity and class when on court but is unlikely to happen until maybe the latter stages of their career or after they retire.

No. He has done it a lot more. Quick google search shows multiple occasions.

People remember it because it's super annoying. Hewitt was annoying but this is another level.

It's very strange this celebration coming from him. He was born in the time of digital phones.

So he’s been training with flip phones when he was a toddler/infant.
Yes, like baby Agassi was trained with a hanging tennis ball or whatever the (apocryphal) story is. I think Shelton's dad has attributed Ben's "live arm" to this early training with flip phones.

All players dope. Some get caught.
FYI, I’m intending to file a defamation case against you on behalf of all tennis players. I would expect the US immigration authorities to lift the current ban on you entering the US solely for purposes of you being able to defend yourself in person. Not that it’s your business but I’m going to look to the PTPA to fund my case.

As a gesture of goodwill I will not file until after your recognition on the JDSM statue is finalized because I don’t want to jeopardize that project.

Thank you for your kind notice.
To expedite matters, after the JDSM statue is finalized, I’ll be forwarding my attorneys’ contact details regarding the impending defamation case.
As for entering the United States, current circumstances make that inadvisable. I find the flavor of the totalitarian regimes of my region far more palatable.
Please take care.

Two things:
1. I generally like, and certainly want to like, Ben
2. This wasn't that serious, and they appeared to "solve" the dispute.

Still, I put the onus for this confrontation on Shelton. You just won a hard-fought match in a three-set breaker. Cobolli did nothing that warranted confronting him at the net. Win with class -- if not during the match, then afterwards.

Some of yall wanna hate Ben so bad lol

Yeah tennis fans are the worst sometimes. Kid shows a bit of fire on court and has an argument or two, big deal.

Ben's good, just to need to learn to hit spots much better with his serve, just heat isn't always that effective especially in the modern game.
