Ben Shelton is gonna make the quarters of the Australian Open

Shelton reminds me a bit of Boris Becker! I think he has a bright future. He may be too inexperienced to make the quarters at the AO. However, I think he could do it at the USO. It will be interesting to see if he can adjust to the grass at Wimbledon and how far he goes into the draw there.

With a second consecutive Challenger title today he’s a virtual lock to gain DE either through the reciprocal WC or getting in on points. However, that’s only step 1 of the process to reach QFs. I have to see a draw first. He will need some good fortune and then some clutch play.

Alright, I'll pay attention to this. Watching thread. Ben Shelton has my blessing.
What about Ben Tennyson?

Really nice video, gives you a clear idea of his game, you can totally see him unforced erorring himself out of the tournament early or getting hot for a few matches.

The potential for a run is there, but this will be a test of his ability to adapt to unfamiliar conditions. Might be a year too early for us to see a huge run in a hard court tournament outside of the states but the upside is huge. My hope is that he doesn't become another "American tournaments only" kind of player that we see sometimes.

Shelton beat #7 seed Baez yesterday in Auckland. Plays Halys today. No thread on this event or Adelaide 2 in match results, it's a bit comical how little this forum cares about anything not involving Nadal or Djokovic.

Ben Shelton Is Ready to Go Global

Shelton, 20, is already ranked in the top 100 after a late-season surge last year. Now, he’s embarking on his first full season on tour and his first trip outside the United States.
