Ben spent the first half of the year playing with an Ezone and PolyTour Rev. In this photo he has a darker racquet with a green string.

Could be Vcore Pro with poly tour pro green?

I'm guessing the photos were just edited to increase the saturation on the greens specifically to highlight the grass court. This brings out the green in the teal sections of the EZONE as well as the green in the neon yellow of what I have to assume is Polytour Pro.

He played his first few challenger tour matches using the ezone, using yellow PTP. I think he might not be too picky, considering his background and age, but also I guess he’s not confident in the racket quite yet.

A player his style - he had much success with the vcP HD 18x20. Going from an 18x20 to 16x19 is a huge change.

Good move. PTP is tried and true on tour. Obviously pros like Ben can make any racquet/string combo work but I remember the snapback on PTR is a bit unpredictable and the stringbed can trampoline a bit.

Indeed. His heavy aggressive style - should switch back to control oriented frame. The Ezone to me is for players looking to add more power. Guy doesn’t need it
Power player with a control frame is good to attack weaker opponents. Against stronger opponents, a little free power from the equipment could be very helpful.

Pure aero is for players looking for spin and easy power, do you think nadal needs it?... its not as easy as that, a lot of things come into play

for sure yellow PTP.. watching the replay against Wolf. Shelton is very dynamic, but he’s far too inconsistent at this level.

If there is no company logo on the stringbed, maybe he is using a string from a different company? ever heard of toroline caviar? looks a lot like it

I know I'm taking a wild guess, just speculating tho.

It looks like Shelton was stringing his Poly Tour Pro yellow at 58 for the Atlanta open '23. I would guess 1.25 for gauge as that's what he was using with Rev?

How is it full bed PTP if it's a hybrid? Are you able to zoom on your phone?
Could be PTP Graphite. Dunno. None of us can tell. It’s probably a Yonex string, though, so it’s either Pro or Strike. I don’t see why Shelton would use a budget string, and Poly Tour Pro is as good as it gets for round polyester, with respect to ALU Power.

Crosses are definitely PTP,, but main string is Black in color. I don't know of any other Yonex poly that is black color,,, could it be Natural gut in black color ??

Oh interesting his strings looked yellow to me on tv I didn't notice the hybrid. I don't know why he would do PTP black and yellow so likely a different main. Could be Strike which is firmer like his Poly Tour Rev and crossed with PTP for a bit softer feel? Could even be black Poly Tour Drive for the shaped bite with PTP as the smooth cross. I wonder what it is
