Bent Racquet

I have come to discover that one of my racquets is a little bent. I have no idea how this came about... I haven't thrown it or anything, but I did drop it the other day but I thought no harm was done. How much will this effect it's playability? Since I didn't really do anything to bend it, can I get it replaced?

This wasn't that uncommon with aluminum racquets back in the day. But I can't recall ever seeing this happen to a modern graphite racquet.....although I imagine it could.

I've got a graphite racquet, a Head trisys, that is a lot bent. Not from abuse, but perhaps old age and structural failure. The racquet head at the 3 o'clock position just basically collapsed or more like pulled inward from the string tension. It has the appearace you would expect if someone took it and rapped it hard across a metal pipe.

Before, it looked to be in great shape (no cracks or signs of abuse) and I just restrung it -- only at about 55 pounds -- about a week ago and played with it for two sessions. I went to pull it out of my gear bag and it was folded. Too bad, I was really starting to like that frame too!

I recall max 200g's bending when putting them away for storage with their strings on. I think that was a graphite racquet, right?

what i believe you are talkin about is called warping...this can happen by leaving you racquet in a hot car and it warps...i have had this happen to a couple of my racquets
