Yeah, dude. Whatever.
Go for their throat, step on their neck when they're down, etc. . . .on the court. Off the court, be a gentleman. It doesn't show weakness to give props to your fellow players.
Nadal is a huge Federer fan
And Llodra asking for Roger's shirt after he beat him even though they're friends and he could've gotten a shirt from him anytime.
Me too. A lot of current players support Nadal. Youtube is full of clips on this.
But nobody complained about it. They said it was because Roger was such a sportsman, ambassador, and on and on.
It's funny the reaction when someone is talking about Nadal. They totally backtrack.
Whats the big deal with this?you guys should have seen the way ljubicic and bjorkman reacted after losing to fed.It was as if they were honored to lose.
You cant blame roddick for not trying though,he just wasnt good enough against fed which is interesting considering he did a lot better against novak and even had some great victories against murray.
I'm not blaming Roddick. Roddick never was as talented as Federer.
Roddick said he didn't feel bad losing to Fed because he was so nice.
That's what this thread was about. People getting on Berd for being a fan of Nadal's, but overlooking Fed's many pro fans.
Ljubicic and Blake were very friendly with Roger from what I remember.
Anyway, this is a non-issue. Do people actually believe that Berdych likes Nadal?
He is just building Rafa up so that he looks better next time he loses to him.
These guys are direct competitors, they don't get friendly in the actual sense of the word unless there is a big gap in rankings for them.
Berdych one of the most hated men on tour.
No one really cares if he has a crush for nadal except his and hers fanboys.
However, in a professional sense might explain why he crumbles time and again against him in recent matches after beating him a couple of times at first.
Maybe they had a private lunch in a treehouse
Well, tell that to Mr President, who appears to have a hidden agenda to poast about. A hidden, obvious agenda...............
Hopefully, Team Rafa(Berdych, Ferrer, Lopez and the boys) show up at Wimbledon and make things a little easier for Nadal.
I loled at this
You call bending over respect?
I've got no problem with Berdych being a Nadal fan but if you're a top pro KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. No wonder the dude can't take a set off of him cause he doesn't want to hurt him!
I don't understand your response to my post.
Whether they are buddy buddy or not isn't the issue. The issue is people complaining about Berdych's remarks and ignoring all of the players that used to fawn over Roger.
I don't presume to know what Berdych is doing, but that's not the topic of this thread anyway.
Roddick never said he liked losing to Roger in the finals. Read the entire presser after USO 06 instead of the c0ck and bull stories invented by Nadal fanboys. It's all there and way too obvious that even assuming ********s are right (which they are not) Berdych is WAAAAAY beyond even fanboyism. It sounds like a mancrush.
Exactly. He must have 50 true fans worldwide. He has one of the least likeable personalities on the men's tour imo. I love that Nadal thrashes him at every opportunity.
Goffin did that as well. That's far more embarrassing and pathetic than anything Berdych posted on Twitter.
Not really. They are both pathetic.
Maybe, but I think asking for someone's shirt after they just beat your *** good and proper, is worse.
Yes, no way of getting around it, that was pathetic!
I think it must be a PR move more than anything else.
You can always tell why people are upset about these insignificant things by reading just a few posts; the usual complaining about how Berdych only "tries" against Roger and how it's not fair that Tsonga beats Federer but loses to Ferrer next lol
Kinda related to you only calling out the Federer fans for this, huh?
Of course they were honored, just like many football players are honored to play against Messi.
The same applies to players wanting Federers' shirt, you should look at all those players running to Messi after the match claiming his shirt, it's hilarious. It's part of being the GOAT.
That's not fair. Fed is my hero. I respect him. But if we met at a slam, I would try to destroy him on court. On court it doesn't matter.
Nadal is the biggest Fed fan, always praises him. But that won't stop him to kill him on court.
Does anybody know what the Warrior is?
You tell us!
**Warrior Is On Fire!!**
The most embarrassing is neither Llodra, nor Goffin, nor Berd, nor Ljubo, nor Bjorkman (who was a HUGE Fed groopie). Nope. The winner is Hrbaty. He played his last W match vs Fed and he asked to sit next to Fed during a changeover. The story doesn't say if they held hands...
Indeed, how embarrassing to have a positive H2H against Fedal.
He's sick of people not liking him and wants to try to gain fans.
Fans by proxy. Nice.
Berdych is nothing like what I thought he would be.
I'm not sure what all the commotion is about though. Federer gets plenty of admiration and fanboyism from heaps of players and commentators so why is it a disgrace when Nadal gets it?
Exchanging shirts after a match is tradition in football.
Not in tennis though, and I don't think it was an exchange?.
Which is why it bothers you if they do it about Rafa.
Anyway, Berd's Twitter account is very entertaining. I wish Rafa would sometimes write on his himself...
Queens Club 2013: How come Berdych was ok with ripping a short ball right at De Bakker who was at net?
Last time at the Australian Open, Almagro did the same thing to Berdych, and Berdych wouldn't shake Almagro's hand after the match...
Berdych IS a jerk. I know Nadal fans like him and find him "cute" for beating Roger in majors but he's not very likeable at all. I remember at AO 09 he was leading two sets to love and and at one point the cameras were showing him and he hisses "it's over!" with that gleeful smile. Too bad for him Roger came back to win the match, lol.
I think he just asked for the shirt. There was no exchange that I remember. I had just never seen that and thought it was weird. I can't imagine wanting anybody's shirt with body fluids on it. Yuck!
Yeah, Berd pretty much overreacted in the Almagro match, falling to the ground and everything. It was so funny and fake looking.
Berdych is quite a character, I remember once he was practicing at AO, I got a ball signed and then my friend threw me another ball, he refused to sign the second one and said "I already did you" LOL.
Berdych is a joke..........his actions speak louder than his words....which lately have been embarrassing enough.....I really think he should construct an altar with nadals picture and just make the worship formal........
The guy needs a major attitude shift.........everyone cannot be wrong.....most peeps on the tour cant stand him.......
Separate names with a comma.
