[7] Tomáš Berdych (CZE) vs [12] Stanislas Wawrinka (SUI)
Fourth round Indian Wells

Head to head: 4-4

Most recent meeting: the semifinal of Chennai, India, 2011: Stan won 6-4, 6-1, and went on to win the title.

I think Tomáš will win this one in three.

IT was Chris fowler on ESPN.

When Stan was bowing to Fed; he said it's not Stan the man, but Stan the tomato can.

Which is true, because Stan didn't compete in the match. He was defeated before stepping on the court. And when he came at the net to shake hands, the look in his eyes said " the right man won".

He was weakened by will NOT by technique..

Waw doesn't WANT to beat Fed, period.
If that match happens (again!!!), we'll have another dud on our hands and another free pass to the semi for Fed.

Berdych isnt a threat to Federer unless he is playing very poorly either though. I have never seen a match Berdych beat Federer where he was even playing decently. So I am not sure he is any more a threat, regardless if his desire is more. Wawrinka has beaten Federer too remember, in fact crushed him once. And it is not like Federer was playing any worse than his poor play in all his 3 losses to Berdych.

Personally I like Wawrinka more and find his game more interesting so I hope he wins. Neither player is any threat to a decent in form Federer (although I wish they were) so that aspect is irrelevant for me.

Berdych didn't play bad that set, Wawrinka just kept getting everything back finally forcing an UE.

Wawrinka is slicing him to death. It's basically how he got back into this match.

**** serving for Berdych which will probably lead him to a loss.

I am glad Wawrinka won but if Fed beats Harrison(and I am hoping he does), Wawrinka can kiss his lucky streak goodbye! :)
