Poll: Best 2009 racquet
What do you think?
Pro staff 85
How about Wilson Pro Staff 88?
I was just kidding with my post actually.
No no no Lafayette, it's the Wilson Jack Kramer Pro Staff.
But seriously, I think that the best 2009 stick is the Head Youtek Radical Pro.
wilson kblade tour
The Pro Staff 88 is a great frame, but QC is horrible. Head is at least marginally better in that aspect, although companies like Tecnifibre, Gamma, Volkl, Prokennex, and Dunlop -generally the smaller ones- have great QC.
What's with all the Wilsons? I say Big Bubba.
Any pro's using PS88 in the ATP tour? (Not seniors ala Mr. P.Sampras)
Aerogel 4D 300
I'd say either the KPS88 or the entire Head YouTek range. 2009 has been a pretty good year in terms of racquets IMO.
haven't tried the youteks yet, but the leather grips really lift the head branding.
New Head Extreme.
pure drive gt or pure storm gt imho
K Pro Staff 88ftw
dont have a specific one, but probably the Head YOUTEK series.
Anything made by Babolat...
And the Volk PB 10 Mid or Prince EXO3 Ignite?
The PD GT deserves at least an honerable mention---much more solid than the regular cortex version.
Also, what about the bringing back of the ProKennex Black Ace?
Does it matter if any pros are using it on tour? People should use the racquet that they are comfortable with, regardless of how many pros are or aren't using it.
KPS88.. if you can handle the weight.. I've seen a few guys bought the racket after try out my racket.. then they can't handle the weight.. you got to give it sometime adjusting to the new weight..
So what, can't we still know if pros are using it? Isn't it it a legitimate question?
Dunlop Aerogel 4D 300 and Head Youtek Radical MP. Both are awesome control racquets with some pop and a great amount of spin.
ProKennnex Black Ace 93 is the best new frame in the USA in 2009. It has only been available here for about 5 weeks.
I am very pleased with the Head YT Rad Pro that I got two weeks ago as an upgrade to the MG Rad Pro. I have no idea whether 3Do works or not. But I do like the feel of that racquet. The additional plough of the YT really has helped my ground strokes.
Don't know about the best, but the AG 300 tour is the best for me!
kblade 98 or tour
very happy with my yonex rdis 100 - 93 sq. inch so far.
Dunlop 4D 300.
Youtek Radical Pro
Fischer Black Granite Pro. No.1 98 is the best!
Prince graphite 93 with string hole inserts.
AG 200 16 x 19 is the best frame at a bargain price. Big improvement over the standard 18 x 20 version, which I have always liked.
Volkl Power Bridge 10
So far, this has been a great year for new frames, it seems like almost every company is making vast improvements... Head with the new wilson grip shape, the new prince raquets are light years beyond the previous speed hole versions, babolats are becoming less hollow, the yonex rdis 100 is one of the best serving yonexs to date, the kps finally is taking Wilson back to the days when they made rock solid frames, and Dunlop is still putting out quality sticks........ I guess volkl is the only company putting out their usual line of crap, but almost every 09 frame I have hit with I have been impressed by...... Although I may have become more raquet inteligent as I stayed far away from the Kobras among others....So for me to say something is the best of 09, really means alot. I would probably vote for the new ignite though, it is one of the best frames I have owned in eons, but I will give crediit where credit is due the kps hits monster shots too.
Head Extreme 660.
1 vote for the prince exo graphite 93.. with string-hole inserts.
Aerogel 300 has gotten great reviews, hope to demo one soon.
prince rebel ftw
Volkl PB10 Mid. Nothing else comes close.
dunlop 4d 200
