Rate the best and worst surface for each player in the top ten. Here's my opinion
1. Rafael Nadal Best Clay Worst Grass
2. Novak Djokovic Best Hardcourt Worst Grass
3. David Ferrer Best Clay Worst Grass
4. Andy Murray Best Grass Worst Clay
5. Del Potro Best Hardcourt Worst Grass
6. Roger Federer Best Hardcourt Worst Clay
7. Tomas Berdych Best Hardcourt Worst Clay
8. Stanislas Wawrinka Best Clay Worst Grass
9. Richard Gasquet Best Grass Worst Clay
10. Jo wilfried Tsonga Best Grass Worst Clay

Tsonga's best surface is hardcourt, Murray's best surface is arguably hardcourt, and Gasquet's best surface now would be hardcourt.

I agree with everything except Gasquet in which I think grass should be his worst, even though he's made the wimbledon semi. Hardcourt is his best, and he's pretty good on clay.

Except for the fact that most of his slams are on grass, including his latest one?

I know but he's looked pretty bad on Grass the past few years. Even when he won Wimbledon in 2012 he almost lost to Benneteau. He played great in the semi and final though. I do think though he has a better chance against Murray, Nadal, and Djokovic on Grass but he's also more prone to upsets too

He hasn't looked great on hardcourts. He lost to Robredo of all people at the US Open and most people agree his best chance for a slam is Wimbledon.

Robredo is better than stakhovsky though. Yeah Wimbledon is his best shot but he needs to be careful in the early rounds

It doesn't matter if he is better than him or not, the fact is he lost to someone he beat 10 consecutive times in a row on hardcourt. His Stakovsky loss came when he was injured and not playing as well as he should have, he was better by the time he faced Robredo.

People here believe that he tanked the USO to avoid Nadal..
I don't believe Federer cares as much about H2H as his fans do. A QF finish is better than a 4R finish no matter who you lose to.

All the players are more prone to upsets on grass. You can't have a slow start at Wimbledon because the early rounds can be very dangerous. It's always been like that.

Exactly. The vulnerability of top players on grass is to do with the surface, not those specific players. Not to mention that the grass season is so short, so every success or upset takes on more meaning than it should.
