Best Cheap Thin Gauge Natural Gut?

Which of these cheap, thin gauge (16 or lower) natural guts is the best? Most important for me is playability, but they must have decent durability (at least 30-40 hours) since they cost so much! I have never used natural gut, and I am thinking about using them in a hybrid with my Technifibre X-One Biphase 17. Should I use the natural gut for the mains or the crosses? I am looking to generate a lot of spin so I am thinking X-One Biphase 17 for the mains (I don't know about the spin potential of gut). Thanks.

Is natural gut even suitable for my game? I hit with heavy topspin in a very aggressive all-court style game. I come to the net ocassionally to put away shots as well. I really want to find out what the best string for me is. It is so difficult! :-D

BDE Perf 17g and Klip Legend 17g would get my vote, in that order. I've had good luck with BDE and Bow. Too bad Bow jacked their price up so high.

I have always used the BDE Rallye in my gut hybrid, how does it compare to the BDE Perf? I am fixing and was thinking of spending a little more and getting the Perf although I have always been happy with the Rallye.

I like the Klip Legend alot, but have only used the Klip, VS, and Bow. dont think there is such a thing as 'cheap' gut anymore since the whopper price increase from Bow..i would now rule out the Bow because it just wasnt lasting for me as long as it used to.

I have try Babalot Tonic 16g vs. BDE Rally. I love the Tonic. I hybrid with Luxilon ALU Power. Natural gut on the main and Lux on the cross. Try, you'll love it.

I have given Klip Legend another shot and am glad that I did. Klip Legend in 15L gauge had little bit more pocketing than Bow Brand Championship 16. The coating on it makes stringing it very easy, my clamps did not leave white marks all over the natural gut like it did when I strung with Bow Brand. So far I have put 5 hours of hitting on it and there are barely a few signs of wear. After 5 hours playability is still great, I haven't noticed any tension loss or playability loss. It plays better than my backup racket strung with fresh NRG2-17.

You won't know til you try gut, nothing tosay it can't work for you. Bow WAS this space until they jammed prices and dropped quality at the same time. Number have posted, and I agree, Bow started unravelling / deteriorating far faster in recent months. I've gone to Klip legend 17 and delighted with it. Also hybrid with Alu Power (rough) in the crosses and love it. Have used Bab, Wilson etc, but if it's value for money you're after, then go Klip. Getting great wear out of it so far too. Be sure to use string savers though if you do string gut, they will help extend the life. Also the Lux locks the string bed down so you get minimal string movement, which also helps longevity.

I have used BDE and have been happy with the results, but it would not last me 40 hours of play. Try a hybrid and stretch the gut over 2 string jobs...
