Best control racquet 16x

Which is the best racquet for control among the 16x (16x18, 16x19, 16x20) string pattern racquets?
PS1: Please exclude 16x16 and the other very open "spin effect" patterns.
PS2: Please consider these two limitations: Head size between 96-101 sqi and Flex(RDC) between 56-62.

I play with PCG 100 LB, which is in this group, but I'm looking for an alternative.
Thank you in advance!

I'm going to pick the Pro Kennex Ki5x or Ki5 315 because they fit within your criteria with a flex rating of 62. However, I'm currently using the Ki5 320 and I'm really enjoying it. It does feel stiffer, but it's still very arm-friendly. TW did a review on it that's pretty accurate. I put some lead at 12 o'clock and the power on my serve is great with it.

PCG 100 standard length should have more control then the LB...

Control wise, I really like the old Pure Storm GT (16x20), which should have a slightly stiffer counterpart in the Strike line.
Then the usual suspects, Tecfibre 315 LTD, various Prince Tours, Wilson Blades...

16x20 > 16x19 > 16x18 generally speaking. Have to be careful because what you're really interested in is the spacing between mains. Tighter main spacing normally gives more control because they restrict each others' ability to deflect and snap back. This leads to less erratic ball launch, i.e. control. This leads to a 2nd point. 8 mains thru the throat will generally yield a more controlled stringbed then 6 mains thru the throat assuming all other factors are equal e.g. string, tension, etc. BTW, restricting RA < 62 is not a good way to pick frames. You can always adjust feel (whatever that is) via string, tension, lead, etc. Pick a frame after a demo and select it based on how it performs.

no that simple....my best control frame will most likely not be yours.
esgee48 had some fantastic points!
Also it is never just about one thing.
How about strings, you know...those things that hit the ball..

If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done. -B.L.

Cut your 100LB down to 26.5", put some lead up top from 10-2 and some in the buttcap, bring it to about 11.2-3oz and 6 pts HL. If you need more control than that I am out of solutions. I have two set up like that and I really like them. I am getting two more 100LBs and they will meet the hacksaw upon arrival.

Viable option... However, I'd do the cutting in small increments, like 1/4" at a time. You can always cut off some more, but it's much harder to patch it back to a longer length.

As the matter of fact, I had a pro stock Prince O3 White, 27.5", which I eventually shortened to standard length. Super happy with result.

I really like the Yonex Tour G though I realize it isn't for everyone, I hear the duel g is more favored in its weight distribution.

OK OK, cut 1/8" at a time till you get to 26.5". It won't take you long.
I have a trio of cutdown POG LB's. The first one took several incremental cuts and experimental iteration to get down to 26.7". The next two, they got chopped down to 26.7" before I even took them out of my living room.

Now, my closet is full of 30+ racquets, and almost every single one is shorter than standard, usually about 26.7" also. The control of a standard length frame can't hold a candle to the control of a shortie, no matter what your ability level.

16 x 20. The tour G and Duel G have a good amount of control/somewhat low in the power dept with the pretty tight string pattern with 8 throat mains compared to other 16x20s like the Pure Aero VS that only has 6 throat mains.

Yonex SV95. It does say 95sqinch hoop but the isometric hoop shape plays a little bigger. Only problem is you have to be a pretty decent player to hit cleanly with it. If you are a clean hitter it will deliver oodles of control especially with a 1.30mm medium to stiff Poly. Frame itself is quite flexy.

If you aren't a clean hitter, probably best to look elsewhere.

I've been in this spec range recently. I agree the YY 16/20s can give a lot of control, but tend to be above 62 RA. But for me the most control orientated with 16M is the Prince Rebel 98/Prince Tour 98. It's also a 16/20 but is in the spec range for RA. I find it very controlled and consistent.
