Best cross-training shoes

I don't see a need for cross-training specific shoes. I use an old pair of Barricades on the weight room floor or working out in general and actual running shoes if I have to do any running.

You create far too many threads. You will find far more/better answers on this topic with a simple web search than you will find on this forum.

You are sadly going to find a drastic dropoff of participation in your threads. One day your more relavent and serious questions are going to be overlooked and go unanswered.

I understand you're a young and curious kid, but firing off a new thread for every question that pops in your head isn't going to help your cause.

Just take off your shoes and go barefoot.

Or you could get some Vibram 5 Fingers, but those things really start to stink quickly.

I do spend time googling these things. It just can't hurt to get a few more opinions.

Doing squats, lunges, deadlifts, and clean and jerk, I like a low heel-to-toe drop with minimal support so you have a flat base for your feet. The most popular shoes for these kinds of things are Reebok Crossfit Nano and New Balance MX20. I prefer the Reeboks because they have a rubber on the sides of the shoes that I feel help support lateral movement. The sides on the New Balance are more mesh.

Some people like the Nike Free 3.0, but I've heard they don't last as long.

I wouldn't use any of these shoes for long distance running though, because I don't believe the "free run" shoes are a good idea.

Nike Free Trainer 5.0 v4 or v5. Version 4 is a little more stable and version 5 is more comfortable, but softer.
