A guy I practiced with back in the day used the Wilson Staff 85. Used the cheapest Prince tournament nylon in it.
Wasn't the Staff an 80/20 graphite/fiberglass blend???
What Staff was 100% graphite as bb describes?? Seems like it could be a keeper.

I think the Staff Midsize is a 100% Graphite, whereas the Jack Kramer Staff Midsize is 80/20 as graphite/fiberglass percentage.

Sold a bunch of the various "Staffs" back in those days; but can't recall an all-graphite variant. Sounds like it would be interesting..certainly better than the Ceramic.

Unfortunately cannot find a picture of it right now, but I'm quite sure. I recall it to be in a dark grey color with the writing "100% Graphite" somewhere on it.

I have found so many racquets but these are the best.

I don't know about the aeropro drive being a classic but it was a good find, 2008-2009 model I think.

Wilson Pro Staff 6.1 classic tour edition with 18x20 string pattern.

On the right is the Prince Precision Gyro 93. I would love to know more about it can't find any information about this particular model but it's from the 90's that much I know. Very headlight especially with a leather grip so I am thinking of balancing it with some lead tape. 14x18 string pattern, 93 sq inch but with a thicker beam than the Prince POG 93. Beam width is similar to that of the Wilson Pro Staff classic 6.1.

Other notable finds are another aeropro drive of the same model, another 6.1 classic but with 16x18 pattern and a Dunlop Max 200G. Lot's of 80's racquets, Snauwert graphite Mecir, Fisher superform open midsize, Jack Kramer staff.

I have too many racquets now so I have become more picky so I usually only buy if I know it's a good racquet and in decent condition.

And then we have this one, the most surprising and funny racquet I found. The Erge of Sweden. Can't really play with this one I don't know what they where thinking. Only plus side is it helps to get under the ball on the 1hbh but forehands are all over the place with this racquet. It's cool as a conversation peace and one day for fun I will probably play a match with it just to see the opponents reaction.

The designers if this racquet (if it can be called a racquet) must have been high on something, I can't think of any advantage of these curve shaped design.
The weirdest racquet I ever tried was the Snawaert Ergonom, back in the 80's. It was a strange racquet, but this is beyond strange. But it's a cool piece.

Passed up on an Head Intelligence (i) Prestige mid this afternoon for $9.99. Just too beat up, getting picky in my old age.

Don't know if I correctly get your message meaning, but this racket/model seems to be 100% legit to me, even though I have never seen one in person.
Just meant an all-graphite "Pro Staff" SHOULD have been a viable frame in the market...Maybe they didn't want to cannibalize the sales of the JK Pro Staff; but it sure seems like it would be a sweet hit without the Kevlar.

Picked up a Fischer M Pro number One 98 and Head Flexpoint Radical Oversize for $4.99 and $3.99 respectively this afternoon at Value Village. Baghdatis and Agassi two of my all time faves. Such a fun hobby, you have to dig through piles of Walmart cheap racquet frames and cracked kids racquets. I’ll play these awhile and then flip them for profit.

Wow I need to find an 18x20 PSC 6.1.. always skimmed over the ones with red on the shoulders thinking they were the stretch versions :censored:

They are more common in Europe probably. I have an 16x18 too also found at a thrift store and it is black on the shoulders. I wondered why but since both are 27" long maybe it indeed has to do with string pattern!

Picked up these 2 beauties earlier this week at 2 separate thrift stores This Prince racket is rarely (if ever) discussed and I haven't really found any info anywhere online. An absolutely awesome hitting longbody racket... and was only €1.50 [emoji7]

This was indeed the 28 inch one I meant in my last post. It feels like it has a medium firm flex, 14x18 string pattern, 315g unstrung. I love how easily it swings through the air and allows me to wallop my 1 handed back hands [emoji16]

Anyone own one or have any experience with this version of the Longbody 690?

Also found this Browning frame for 95 cents!!! Kinda looks like the old Spalding frames from the early 90's. This one weighs in around 335g unstrung, and has a 26-18-26mm inverted dual tapering construction. I am not sure what it will truly feel like until I put in new strings and a new grip, but it swings quite heavily.

I remember the first one I saw when stringing for the ATT in Atlanta many years ago. Didn't look odd with no strings in it...then, WTH ??????
As much as I didn't care for Wilson rackets back then, the string patterns in the mid/mid plus frames made a lot of sense...UNTIL that 18/20 with 15ga poly entered my life!!! Yuck for the stringer!!!

-this was for the era of the continental grips!!
-slicing-backhands and/or contineltal-grip forehands should be a breeze
-volleys shoudl also be fun with this stick

Was at it again after a long while.... a few weeks back actually I found to Head Prestige LM Mid Plus in a very nice condition, almost no scratches, other then the previous owner having marked them in the throat area.
Yesterday however I went to a place I do not often go to... but maybe should go more often. Passed on a couple of Wilson Profiles, a Kübler and some other rackets in better or worse shape, incl. a NOS, never strung, plastic on (the deteriorating) handle and cardboard tag still in CTS Thunderstick Oversize... was thinking about it, but I am just no so much in the wider beams. What I finally did pick up for 5 CHF was a Prince Graphite Pro 110 Series... in excellent shape for its age and I think that must be one of the coolest paint jobs ever and the paint quality seems to be great and also the touch is very nice.

Yes unfortunately...the stretches are quite common believe it or not but 18x20 six ones are tough to get a hold of in the US let alone a PSC 95

Wilson Hyper Pro Staff 6.2 in original case for $4.99 at Value Village. Grommets intact and very clean. Not a cult favorite but will make a profitable flip on the four letter auction site.

Just picked up for $15 a new with tags Wilson Jack Kramer Pro Staff like McEnroe used back in the day. Gotta love Facebook Marketplace!

In other news, my Tapatalk app keeps saying I’m logged out of TalkTennis and won’t let me in to take pictures, etc. That’s very annoying!

Ahah, no that is the "power index" or some bs like that.

It's the 90 inch version.
No, power index on Wilson is something like 5.5, 6.0, 6.1 or so
I have the N-code 90 that is similar, and don't tell nobody, a spare brand new set of bumper/grommets that fit both versions (and only those versions...)
Let's keep this dirty secret here, ok?
