Yeah; by TF do you mean Tecnifibre? I can’t see them releasing a cosmetic like this. This is worse than Wilson’s Minions.

Yeah this is a tecnifibre vo2 series that came out after the original tfights. The 320 vo2 was one of the models i used during my college days. Makes me wanna string it up again for kicks and giggles lol.

Grabbed a Bosworth 96 Tour, Head TGK 231.1 ( Youtek Prestige Pro ), Dunlop 300G that has Thomas Blake writing on it.
If it is a YT Prestige Pro PJ, I doubt it is the TGK231.1 (MG Radical MP).
Also, who is "Thomas Blake"

I haven’t actually bought anything in 2 weeks, but I do have a relevant post for the thread.

honestly thinking of changing my primary racket to the Wilson ProStaff classic 6.1 si (that I got at a thrift store). I used to think it was too heavy, but I played 2 matches in my night owl league using it, and I’ve come a long way with it. My serve has a lot more pop and volleys have never felt more solid.

Great racket! So long as you commit to that you won't notice any weight issues after about a month, assuming it's not unusually head-heavy. Should be about 31.5cm strung balanced.

It’s uh, still in my bag!

main problem is I’ve been hitting playing my night league, or with players who only want to play sets, so that’s not my ideal time for experimentation. My ego struggles to let me play sets with unfamiliar rackets, lest I *gasp* not play my best! Oh no!
Lol, I know what you mean, but it works the other way for me. Always using a different stick gives me an excuse every time! But, always got a 200G waiting if I need to play 'well'.

Nice haul! Is that Director a small version? Looks less than 27 inch and 95sqi (+45%)? Perhaps it's just the photo angle?
That’s the OG Graphite Director that was made in the USA. According to HEAD’s catalog it was 96sq.inches. Same as the OG Graphite Director that was made in Austria from 1982-1986. Actually as a junior in the USA a member of my club played with the Graphite Director that was made in Austria and raved how much better it was compared to the made in USA version. He talked how HEAD racquets were all designed in Austria.

Perhaps it's just me, but the one in the thrift picture looks about 25 inch compared to the other sticks!?

I have one somewhere. I’ll try and locate it. It should be standard length.
Yep, the Director is standard length, the adverts I dropped into another thread show that. I was just noting that the one in the picture above looks unusually small. Probably just the angle of the picture!

^^^ sorry no idea what that is?

They're obscure thats for sure although I'm surprised there isn't a small following for these, seems like a viable option for an all court stick-especially in todays game.
Not that old in retrospect but definitely Technifibre's benefited from the facelift

Got caught up in the football playoffs, it’s 27” like the rest. Probably just the angle threw you off. I hit with the Prince 90 today, it’s heavenly.
The Precision Graphite is great. Such an honest stick and surprising performance. I noticed the 55-70lbs recommendation compared to the 60-70lbs on the 1984 blue-stripe original version, and the layup description including fibreglass, whereas the original has no layup details. Anyone ever played with both versions? They're probably the same since the 1984 Pro also doesn't mention the fibreglass. Probably litigious developments forced disclosure later in the decade, rather than just saying 'Graphite' on a frame.

Well, 2 weeks is about all I can manage without buying something it seems. Thing #1

Babolat Pure Control Team. I'm not the biggest Bab fan, my hipster self looks around the club, and they're so prevalent and mainstream, every time I pick one off the demo wall, I just think to myself "THIS is what people are going on and on about? this is nothing special at all..." and go back to my old Adidas, Heads, and so on.

I'm not sure what year this dates to, it has the old red Babolat logo, but the newer typeface, so I'm guessing it has to be at least 2003 or newer. How much newer? Please enlighten me. It was used by a club player who really likes to dig slices out of the court, but I carefully inspected it, and while there's plenty of rash, and some chips, there's no cracks to be found. Strung with good ol Wilson Syn Gut, I'll see how it compares to my Gen 1 Pure Drive (US model circa 2000-02).

This is the Lead Tape Zone. Do not place Lead Tape outside the Lead Tape Zone under penalty of law.

And find #2. A Wilson Profile 2.7si 95! This was part of a matched set I spied at a Play it Again Sports, but I only bought one ($15 a piece) as I really don't need 2. I kinda felt bad splitting them up, as they were obviously owned by the same person. Though one had 2.7 and the other was the older version without a SI or "dual taper beam" writing on it. I can respect the previous owners efforts to keep them in good shape, as some of the scratches on the frame have been touched up nicely with some paint, they really matched it well and everything. There was a restringing sticker that was dated 3/13, so these were someones main sticks well into the modern age. Strung with Prince Premiere, whose packaging stated it was the "ideal string for Widebodies", so should be fitting right? We shall see. Head shape is a little more oval-like than the Pro Staff 6.1 or 4.2.

well touched up sides. I'll try to treat it well, but we'll see how it handles on the court.

@Grafil Injection I didn’t forget to bring the Pro Staff 4.2 to the court, and I gave it a swing. The stock strings which are at least 26 years old were a bit loose, was sailing balls a bit but it was very solid on the forehand. Will likely restring before I try it again. Promising so far.

PS4.2 sounds interesting. Is the PC-Team 320g strung or is that an unstrung graphic? Would be quite heavy for a Team if it were unstrung.

Funny that they lowered the tension recommendation on the Profile from 60lbs +/-5 on the original. Did people complain it wasn't powerful enough?! Lol.

That is indeed the unstrung weight. It weighs 338g as it sits now. Which is right about where my main sticks are, hope it impresses.

And maybe Wilson lowered the tension range on the Profile when all their customers were hospitalized with arm pain.

The Team does sound great then. Same weight as the Tour and 95.

@kevin qmto I'm diggin that babolot score. Don't worry about the masses playing with babolots. Most prob wouldn't even play with that. Hope you can score some grommets. I was able to find some for the Aero Storms (aero throat, box hoop)

Surprisingly, even with the moderate rash, the grommets are in good shape, not so much as a crack on any of them.

Love the pure controls. My main college stick was a pure control plus. I had both versions but the plus always had a special place in my heart haha.

Following up the golden age Head trend with a Graphite edge today, as well as a Prince LXT Comp extended, Wilson Hammer 7.2, Chemold wood racquet and a Macgregor Ben Hogan golf putter. Pretty sure the LXT is from the same donor as two weeks ago, just made it out to the floor later as it’s such an obscure racquet. The 7.2 Hammer is like a featherlight pro staff. The mold seems very similar if not the same to the Classic 6.1. In fact I found a Tapatalk thread on this. I’m not going to bother adding 2 1/2 ounces of lead to find out. Just gonna throw it on the auction site for some bread.

ok it’s late, I’m working off only 4 hours of sleep from last night. But I feel like I’m going nuts.

maybe a month ago tops, I was browsing Fox Tennis’s online website debating on whether or not I wanted to chance it and order something from them. And now I can’t find their website anymore, and this is a website that’s been live and unchanged for who knows how long (but updated the copyright year every year, I remember noticing that when I was just using their site). I thought it was something along the lines of: playfox.com or something? I could use the ‘Is It Down Right Now?’ site to check myself but I can’t remember the name of the damn website! Did they finally vanish?

I can’t find any company info, I can’t find an address, or a phone number or anything really. Just a total fail. Am I just sleep deprived and not thinking straight? Someone help me out.

Anyone heard about the Dunlop Torsion Braid racket: 185752039791? Looks like a Taiwan special, but the stabilizer bar and 'Braid' in the name makes it intriguing.

I haven't looked them up in years, but playfox.com is indeed their site name, which has been in use since 1995 (current operators licensed the "Fox" brand to market inexpensive racquets, and had zero direct ties with the original company). I have no idea what happened to them, but they just renewed their annual domain registration last October, so they intended to keep going as recently as three months ago. Their office address is 45 Herbert Ave., Salt Lake City, UT 84111. You can try calling them at 801-364-1332 to see whether this is a temporary glitch or something more permanent.

As for that Dunlop with the outrageous freight cost, the seller clearly made a data-entry mistake when he listed this racquet along with the Hyper Hammer 2.7, as the rest of his listings are all priced correctly. I'm sure he would quickly fix it if someone reached out to him.

Wilson BLX Tour 95 (Henin), Head Liquidmetal Radical MP, (2) Prince CTS Precision Oversize, Head Microgel Monster 102, Fischer Impact 102, Head Ti sx6? ( too lazy to go dwnstrs and see the exact name, but a racquet for intermediates from the Titianium family) for $4.70 American each. The BLX tour needs some lead at the top or something to make it shine or maybe I’m just not accustomed to a longer racquet. I’m not a big 18*19 or 20 guy but all hang onto the Liquidmetal as I’ve regretted flipping them in the past.
