Best overgrip?

What is in your opinion the best overgrip. I like a dry feel, not tacky. I used to use tournagrip but I found that on some shots, my racquet slipped and span in my hand when I hit it, causing the ball to not go where I intended it to go. Which is the best dry overgrip that offers good grip?

Big fan of Unique Sports' Softgrip OG. I like it because it's not super tacky, remains fairly dry and very comfortable. Also it was readily available at my local Academy Sports store but they no longer carry it and Unique might be doing away with it. Bummer.

Yonex is the best. Try it and you will love it.

I agree, I sweat a lot in the summer ,Philadelphia and southern Delaware HUMID in August, and yonex works extremely well and in winter( play indoors) it just feels good. I don't think it is very tacky but does prevent slippage if hand perspire , for that very reason I could never use just pure leather. Also not a big fan of tournagrip texture just felt odd

I also use supergrap. good all around grip.

can't really comment on others.

Yonex is the best I've tried.

I'll add to the list for the Yonex Supergrap. I used to use Wilson Pro, when the price changed I tried Yonex Supergrap. Not only could I get it in yellow to match my racket, it worked just as well as the Wilson Pro but lasted a little longer.

Oh wow, I'm gonna have to check out the Yonex and see what I have been missing. Considering, that I have only used tournagrip all these years

Yonex is a thick over grip and wears easily. You really have to stretch the life out of it to get it thin - plus the annoying part is when the seams start to fold outwards, I hate that.

I'm sticking with tourna.

supergrap works well for me from the new/tacky point all the way til it starts to shred at which point it is more cloth like.

Revision: got a bad batch of vtac, so I now limit it to the Tecnifibre Pro Contact and Wilson Pro Perforated.

That's exactly the same for me. I've been using Wilson Pro for 3 years but when they made it more expensive i've switched to Yonex Supergrap. Just love it and it is a bit thicker than the wilson so it lasts longer and works great in all weather conditions.

Yonex Supergrap. I've tried both Yonex SG and the Wilson Pro. The Yonex is a bit thicker and feels nicer after being broken in a little (but that's just to me).

Mantis Performa Tac is also great, if you can find it somewhere that is.

Dunlop ViperDry is best choice for hands that doesn't sweat. It retain enough grip until it starts to peel off and that takes a long time. Kinda of like the string that last long til it breaks.

super grap is great but viperdry is way better.

Yonex is a great grip, I do prefer it over Wilson because it does last longer. Ever since Wilson changed their formula the quality got worse. Pacific is quite good as well, that might be a good grip since you don't like tacky, it's not as tacky as the two mentioned. Currently right now my favorite is the Tourna Mega Tac, super super tacky, but after you use it for a while it's great since the tack doesn't fade for quite a while and it doesn't tear or shred

It's like a tourna grip but with a little bit of a tacky feel to it. I didn't like tourna cause it's too rough on my hands, but the added tack to on the U-Sweat makes me really enjoy it

ok, and how do you rate it for holding up in sweaty conditions?

Haven't had a chance to really test it yet, most days I've played it hasn't been hot at all and haven't sweat that much

Since I live in Florida, I'll really be able to put it to test this summer, i'll update it more often

Yonex SG & Wilson Pro are the best for me. Yonex being more durable & Wilson offering a slightly better feel. I think the SG is thicker and I prefer a thinner OG and Wilson Pro is that. Wish Yonex offered a with slightly thinner option.

I use Yonex SuperGrap and Head Prestige Pro. Both are good and also very similar. Can´t tell them apart really...

Tourna Grip in the summer is the only one that works. I like Tourna Tac when it gets a little colder out for my winter USTA leagues. All the other stuff from yonex, gamma, whatever, gets slippery the moment some perspiration hits my palm.

I noticed that on my recent order. And Costco just increase the price on a box of Penns. Stupid economy.

My vote is for Yonex as well. I find that if I'm playing in 105' temps the tack can slip in sweat but I just switch rackets on every changeover to let the prior one dry, then switch back. Overall great grip, great feel, good wear.

Im surprised no one mentioned the babolat vs overgrip. Based on the OP's preference of a dry feeling grip, i cant think of a more dry feeling overgrip

since it's getting hotter out, I'm sweatin more, and it's holding up great. It's not getting slippery at all unlike my regular grips, it doesn't get damp either, nor is it rough on my hands (like tourna is)

I'm currently using Gamma Rzr Tac and Rzr React. I tried Yonex SG and liked it a lot, but I find I'm having more handle slippage nowadays. I can't really tell if there's a whole lot of difference between the two, but I feel the React seems to be more absorbent and a hair thinner. Now that it's getting warmer I may need to start wearing a wrist band to keep the sweat from reaching the grip. Not looking forward to that tan line!!
