Best pickleball paddle for 2H BH?

Hey all,

Wondering if any of ya'll have recommendations for a pickleball paddle with a lengthier grip. I hit a 2H BH and most of the paddles I've tried from Wilson/Franklin have shorter grips which make it difficult to properly grip the backhand. I'm thinking of demoing the Electrum E, but if anyone has any other recommendations would be happy to try.

Thanks in advance!

Electrum E has a 5 1/4" long grip. The elongaged paddles from Gearbox (CX11E, CX14E, GX6) have a 5 5/8" long one - as does their CX14H.

I've tried many of the longer handled paddles (5.5" or longer): Wilson Echo Carbon, Gearbox GX6, Vulcan V560 Power, Engage Elite Pro Maverick, Paddletek Sabre Pro, Franklin Ben Johns, Engage Pursuit MX Graphite, Engage Encore MX, Prince Quantum Pro, Prince Response Pro, ProLite Crush PowerSpin, Gamma Compass LH (longest handle I've tried; very small hitting area though). They are out there...just have to do a little research!!!

Had been using the Wilson Echo Carbon because of it's super soft touch, but recently went back to my Gearbox GX6 for a bit more power while still retaining great touch!

3b..ever try the diadem warrior?

I have not. A buddy of mine got one, face had a bad spot in it where the face was coming apart from the rest of the paddle, sent it back, waiting on a replacement. He seems to love it. I've held it, not played with it...too thick and handle too short (5" I believe) for me.

I demoed it for one game. Felt super nice with the sweet spot being huge. It was an easy transition and I considered buying one.

I have seen at least three of the YouTube paddle reviewers (maybe 4) make the switch to it. One did mention a warranty issue and another said the grit was coming off - but they were still using them. Seems likei have seen a lot of folks mention QC issues- but if they sold a lot It may be not much worse than average.

Yes...it seems to have gotten the YouTube attention and charm some how... could be a good one I suppose.. I like hearing the big sweet spot mentions.. I may pick one of them or the new Gamma 505...
But then again the price point of the Franklin Ben John is hard to look past..

I am still enjoying my Onix Premier... but always yearn for the extra 1/2 inch in a paddle..

You haven’t tried the Selkirk mach6? Longest handle around at 5 7/8”

No, I sure haven't. I've tried numerous Selkirk paddles and really haven't liked any of them. The specs on it are great but many of the people I've talked to/played with who use the newer line of Selkirk's say they mar up quickly. Selkirk says it doesn't affect play at all but I've heard otherwise from friends.

I understand this is an old post.

Oya Sports now has two 7" long handled thermoformed paddles that are absolute perfection for former tennis players with 2HBH or 2HFH. Yes, I've started seeing 2HFH's on the pickleball court :-D

They are size maxed at 24" combined (17"x7") with a 10" head and 7" handle.

Phantom Max and Obsidian Max

Did you get this paddle? If so how do you like it? I am just getting into pickleball and looking for longer handle to transition from tennis. Thanks

It's my favorite paddle of the 12 I've purchased.

I'd recommended the Obsidian Max over the Phantom Max. The Phantom has a sprayed on grit coating that loses its roughness quickly. The Obsidian is standard raw carbon fiber.
