Best Place For A TTW GOAT Invitational?

I was thinking. What city do you guys think would be the best place to have a round-robin series of sets/matches with folks from this forum? Is there a place/region where a large contingent of TTW posters (who are also players) are close to? Just curious.

Am I invited or is it for lower level rec players only?

How did I miss this thread. Just one location might not be realistic for rec level tennis meet. I'm down for NYC area meet.

Ohmygoh, MMI really has perfected the art of trolling. I'm laughing so far. That's actually pretty good.

I'm down for LA, CA!

Let's have two invitationals- one in Cali and one in NY? I would love to hit with Lee, Cheetah, and Matt sometime

Here:

If the logistics don't work out with that court, I think Atlanta would be a good choice for the East Coast (a halfway point for Mid-Atlantics and Floridians).

LA would be good for the West Coast-- the SD people could drive north, and LeeD, Kiteboard and John Yandell could all drive down (presumably in LeeD's van).

Mmi Is my favorite poster. Goat troll.
He's definitely a better troll than you are, IMHO. You are kind of a reactive, counter-punching, David Ferrer type of troll.

MMI is like the Del Potro or (young) Federer of trolling. Hyper-aggressive. Needs nothing in order to go for his shot.

I've always wondered how players don't lose all their (tennis) balls when playing on that court.

But NY is better, I think. There could also be one in FL, but I don't know how many people would be willing to drive all the way to SC for an amateur invitational of players from the forum (I know I wouldn't).

MMI is an awesome poster.

Finally a guy who can challenge Fedace. Fedace has pretty much monopolized this place for years. Now he has competition.

I've already hit with Shroud, RobFL, and PapaMango.
Stanford is a little far for me, maybe an hour's drive if I had a running vehicle. Might be hard to get onto courts there too.
Maybe SytemAnomoly's courts in SanMateo, as it adds another poster.
Anyone around Berkeley?

as a 3.0 beginner myself, I am probably not good enough to play with you guys.

but if there is a meet in NY, I will come to serve as a towel boy.

Nah, you'd be good enough.

Most of these guys don't actually play in a competitive environment. Most have 4.5 GOAT strokes with awesome ISR and kinetic chain... but they only hit-for-fun and play matches with their buddies. In a competitive situation, a lot of them would fold like a cheap suit and turn into a 3.0 dinking junk-ballers.

If something comes up, you should definitely come and play.
