Best Prince racquet for intermediate player?

Tennis season is just under way at my high school, and I might want a new racquet. I prefer Prince (personal experience, and my coach recommends them), but if I went with another brand, maybe Babolat, but I've heard they're not made as well, and I didn't like playing with a friend's. Anyway, what are some Prince racquets that would be great for intermediate, finesse players? I probably want a powerful racquet, or somewhat powerful. I don't know much about head size, so what should I look for there?

I've been looking at:
Prince EXO3 Silver 115
Prince EXO3 White
Prince EXO3 Black
Prince EXO3 Black Team
Prince EXO3 Graphite 100 Midplus

Are you specifically only gearing towards the EXO3 series?

No; the EXO3's just caught my attention. I'm currently playing with an O3 racquet, maybe Tour or something like that. It's a good racquet that served me well last year, but I want to take a look at others now.

yes, you have a racket that you like.

what is it? that will help. additionally, if you
like that racket maybe you should just get
a second/backup.

they would likely be available on the used market,
if they have been discontinued.

edit: otherwise, the prince o3 white is a great racket
at a decent price here at TW.
can't go wrong there.

I think you should try the Ozone Tour MP.

1.Its soft on the arm and great on touch shots

2.great on both topspin and underspin.

3.great serving stick

4.does not have alot of power but enough to end the point if needed.

You're going to have to try them out for yourself, but a good starting point is the exo3 Graphite 100. It's a very impressive frame. Ugly, but impressive.

Remove the Silver from your list...it's designed for players with a very short swing. As a young buck, I don't think you'd qualify.

All the other racquets will work. The Graphite 100 is a great stick and the price is right. Not a bad place to start. If you need a bit more power, the Black, Black Team, and White will work. The Black is a bit heavier (with I like), but more firm than the White in terms of feel. The White feels very plush and has ample power due to the Energy Bridge system.

You might also want to consider the EXO3 Tour Lite.

Since you said you're an intermediate player, you might want to try the O3 White. IMO, for the intermediate player, the EXO3 series doesn't offer anything unique to the O3 series. Different story with the more player-oriented frames (Rebel, Graphite and new EXO3 Tour come to mind).

Transitioning to the O3 White should be easy and could give you some added power. I like the price and combined with performance, should be a good overall value.

I'm probably going to demo the EXO3 Black and EXO3 White, and maybe the EXO3 Black Team and EXO3 White Lite 100. What's different about the "team" and "lite" versions?

How about Prince Thunderlite MP? These are harder to find at reasonable price though. Because they were made around late 90s - early 2000s.

if you need a power, I might go with o3 white.

also I remember that EXO3 black and white were a little stiff for me.

I think I would go with the O3 white as well. specs seem to be right up your ally and for the price you can pick up two and test different string setups and lead weight setups.

if you have a racket you like just stick with it, and come on their is no difference between o3 speedports and exo3, just new paintjobs and different holes. The tour is a good one just stick with that, and unless you are a fanboy of prince then go to anothere line up, with something more solid. Prince needs to ax the o technology.

I played the 03 white original for a good 4years, it's definitely got the power AND control. Definitely value for money at the price it is now. I have since changed to the Ex03 graphite 100 but sometimes i do think of bagging another 03 white incase one day i want to change back.

I've used the ignite, graphite 93, rebel team.
I hate closed string patterns, so naturally I disliked the rebel team.
I got the most oomph off of the ignite, the heaviness of the racquet created a very heavy ball that opponents had a hard time returning.
I could volley best with the graphite, and having played with a POG for 6 years this one is my racquet of choice.

The black/white will give more power, the graphite a bit more finesse and control. The rebel is actually a quite powerful stick also, but I doubt they'll be putting that one for sale anytime soon since its their best seller.

As far as head size goes, it really depends on your skill. If you're a high schooler like me who is about a 3.0, 4.0 player, I personally wouldn't go any smaller than 100. My current from is 100 in. head size. I feel for our level of play, 100-103 is the best.

What I mean is on Prince's website, they have EXO3 White 100 and Black 100. Are those the same sold on TW? Because I can't find them with "100" in the name itself.

Yes, they are the same.

White = White 100
Black = Black 100

White Lite and Black team are different racquets from white and black

Watch out for the red (105), as Prince also has the hybrid red 102 and some other red racquets. They are not the same.

I'm currently demoing some racquets, and I really like the Prince EXO3 Black. I'm also demoing the Prince EXO3 White, Babolat AeroPro Drive GT, and another Prince. What is the difference between the EXO3 Black and White exactly? I like both, but it's hard to set them straight from each other.

the white is a more lighter racquet and is almost even balance whereas the black is more heavier and more headlight. im pretty sure the black is going to give you more bang on the serve.

what about the hybrids? any experience with them? My girlfriend's red 102 has a custom 3 1/2 grip, so I can't really tell how it plays...

I agree that the Silver is in a diff category. I have the o3 White, o3 Red, and the Ozone Seven. Not seeing you play, the White is a frame that can be used by a wide range, can't go wrong. If you want a little more power, the other two give you an extra .25 in. length. Demo if you haven't settled yet.

I would recommend the EXO3 Red. It has controllable power. I think the EXO3 Black is a fine racket too. Another racket that's fairly cheap now is the EXO3 Ignite. It's a lot lighter than the Rebel. Don't know about the power though.
