I'm playing with the black 2012 version. It feels tinny on contact, but I'm used to it. I heard from a few friends that the 2013 version with spaced out strings wasn't as good. Haven't had a chance yet to hit with the 2018 version. Reviews suggest that it feels heavier, muted without having a softer feel.

Which one has been your favourite and why?

Definitely the Swirly. Played with that racquet for almost 13 years. Tried the generation right after that, but it just wasn't the same as the swirly pd

True it is a Subjective and Personal choice.
2 Pure Drive Plus Roddick GT customized / fsi/woofer grommets > my singles stick of choice..
flat black 13.3 oz , special foam in the handle, weight in the hoop under the grommets.
N gut and copoly hybrid + S. Foam, weight and the right stringbed took away that original stiff feel
Why ..because: well first and foremost > servers are killer in power and precision, plus for me it is a great all court weapon. yep even volleying is fun ..

Not an out of the box stick, I got no fancy letter from A.R, no more Roddick or a RF on it, no gumby rubber paint on it, no hype, no one else on the court has this stick(s), one of my best blueprinted custom projects, they all were short money spent and fun process (I do have 3 more I need to strip/ paint... one of these days) , simple and works (for me)...

Find the best frame for your game period. No matter what it is!
What works for me, will not work for you...

Doubles, I like to use my Angells.

have fun out there....

I am fond of the older Team version and the extended Roddick. The Team mainly because it had the lowest flex of the bunch at 65, but still performed like a PD in most other aspects. I have two of them. The closest thing you can get to them, and it is very close in specs aside from weight, is the PD Lite. It has a 65 flex and same width beam as the original team did(why throw away an old mould when you can resuse it?). Weighted up, it feels very similar even though the nwer versions have the cortex.

The 2009 was my favorite. I didn't care for the black and white version nearly as much as I understand many people on here loved it.
