According to the BBCSports link, the grips shown should be done backwards if you're a lefty. As a lefty i find this advice a bit suspect; after trying it out for a couple of matches, i realized that tennis is much harder if you hold your racquet from the top of the frame, rather than on the handle.
Sigh...what's a lefty to do?![]()

One of the most important is that your forehand shot (assuming your best side) flies to the backhand side of a "righty" (his weaker side and most of the players) in a cross court shot (a safe because it has the longest distance). Also you can open the court with this kind of shot and attack the net.
But, what is the relation of this explanation with a racquet?
Easy, look for those racquets that let you exploit this kinds of shots, specially control-oriented sticks.
