Best racquets of the 90s?

Lots to list...
Here’s my attempt:
1st four that are underrated imho...
Prince CTS Blast
Head Genesis 660
Head Satellite Tour
prince Synergy 26 non-DB

Then,
Head Pretige 600 and 660
Head Pro Tour 280-630
Head radical Trysis 260
Wilson Pro Staff Classic 6.1
Yonex RD-7
Fischer vacuum pro 90 and 98
There was Fischer 280 or something which was also way good.

I remember also really digging the Donnay’s...academy pro and formula pro

For me the classic 6.1 95 was the king of the hill. I also thought the prince Vortex with the offset strings and those super thin Wilson spin raquets were pretty cool. Seemed like companies were more willing to try and innovate back then in terms of design. The innovation now seems to be more with materials.

also had a prince cts synergy 32 something or other that was a head-heavy gimmicky POS. profile 3.6 was an arm-destroying monster. i think Head was the shining light back then, specifically the straight-beamed ones. the trisys series also has some weirdly shaped gimmicky beams if i recall correctly.

Prince Warrior was early 00s? RDX 500 too?

VSBabolat's list is pretty comprehensive. I personally loved the Head Prestige Classic and PT280.

I would add the Fischer Pro. 1 to the core list. In terms of little known gems, I really liked the Prince DB24 and Yonex Cyborg 2700 (one of the best paintjobs of all time).

Amazing how many legendary frames HEAD produced in that period and how much crap they came out with since.

When did Wilson begin to make H19 and H22 available to the pros?

Wilson began with the H22 and H19 in the early 2000’s. I think about 2004 it was simpley to get those HEAD players over to Wilson.

Man, this was the time that I laid off tennis after college, from about 1993 till about 2009. The person I liked the most was Thomas Muster :)
