Best Shoe at TW!

You're going to get a lot of different answers on this one. As far as light shoes go, the Yonex and Asics are among the lighter ones. Prince also has a light shoe line. I find that light shoes don't last quite as long as the heavier ones and the weight difference is pretty minimal (2 oz). I had a pair of Yonex 304's and they lasted about 7 months but the cushioning broke down a lot sooner than the Barricade V's.

So many factors go into what people believe are the best shoes. Fit, weight, stability, cushioning, etc. You might want to go to a brick and mortar store to test a few out. At least you can get a feel for fit, weight, and cushioning. Then go from there. Buying shoes blind (without trying them on first) is very expensive!

I have the Nike Lunar Vapor Tour White/Gold. If that makes a difference. Also looking for a shoe with 6 month durability because the shoe only last about 4 months.

Try the Asics Gel Resolution 3. Lots of unsponsored tour players wear this shoe. They don't get paid to wear it so there must be something good about them. I have never worn Asics tennis shoes, but I have had many of their running shoes and they are very, very good.

New Balance 1187 are light and offer good support. They also come in extra wide sizes for those with wide feet.

Nike Vapor 8's in the Anthracite/Red colourway.....really light and an awsome colourway!!! Saw them at my local sports shop today

Dont buy any brand but NIke, Adidas, Babolat and Asics. All others lack preformance. Kswiss is ok and new balance only if you have foot problems. But Nike Adidas and Babolat are your best bet.

I totally disagree with this. For my feet, Yonex gives much better performance. I find them lighter than Nike with superior cushioning and grip. However, they are not as durable.

The truth is that there isn't a best shoe. It depends on your foot shape and what you need in a shoe. Some of the most highly regarded shoes hurt my feet and feel like work boot weight. I don't doubt that they are good for some people, just not for me.

What's the best and lightest shoe out there right now at Tennis Warehouse? I'm going to need a new shoe soon.:)

I think the Head Prestige Pro shoes are the best I've used. Perfect comfort right out of the box. Outsoles have a 6 mo warrenty. I play enough to blow through the outsoles in about 4 months so each purchase is 2 for 1. But the rest of the shoe holds up so well they still look almost new when I send them back. The Speed Pro are good shoes too, but maybe not worth the extra $10 or $20.

I don't know why Head shoes aren't more popular, they really are so good.

Have to agree with you!! Just took my Vapors in to be looked at by Nike, and had to play in my new balance shoes.... I have flat feet so thats why i have them, and i regret buyig them!!they are a lot heavier than the vapor

I echo the comments that asking for the best shoe is tough because they are so personal to individual foot type, playing surface and style.. etc.

For me, I have really enjoyed the move to Yonex (clay) and Asics (GR2 for hard courts). I put a premium on comfort because of past foot problems. Both are low to the ground and do not feel clunky to me (like the Barricade VI).

Another honorable mention goes to the Prince T-22s for the same reasons.

I'm also a big fan of the Prince T22's. Only thing is they are not real light. The trade off for great comfort, stability, and durabilty.

Why are you excluding all the other brands. Fila, Wilson, and lotto i know from experience make great shoes, And im sure yonex and reebok are still good.
