Best shots you have ever seen?

As the thread title says, just post those shots, not a match, set, game, or even point, just those single shots which made you stare in complete awe at the tv, computer or at the court (if you were lucky enough to witness it live).

My favourites are :

Of course johnny mc, just don`t understan how he pulled out that shot

Mecir, the shot that he produces at the 6:48 mark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfRW-6dvKQs

Agassi, talk about taking the ball early, 9:15 mark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLxzvYoAtwc

Nadal, one of the hardest backhand i have ever seen, 3:46 mark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGNy3alApLQ

Finally, the greatest shot maker of all

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZde4zRHnJA (0:15 mark)

and last but not least the best ever IMO

This has to be way up there. Both because of the shot and the importance of the match and that the shot was hit to set up match point. And that it was hit by the GOAT.

The reason I had to quickly zoom in (and I think it turned out to be fortuitous because I was up in the clouds, though maybe watching it go by Novak would have been better) is because two schmos choose the beginning of that point to walk out of the match. You could wait years of live tennis watching and never see that shot hit in a GS semi. But they walked out.

Djokovic has hit some phenomenal shots. One of the greatest grinders in all of history, no doubt.

That was in previous year (SF USO 2010). Another two amazing shots:

And some people dare to say Djokovic is a pusher or grinder

Right. I mixed up the years. It was truly incredible that Joker did that to Fed two years in a row, in the semis.

Lucky my arse. Lucky only in the sense of training for 20 years, coming into his own as a Champion, hitting arguably low percentage shots at key match moments and executing on them.

I remember chuckling at Fed's reaction in the press conference at the return of serve forehand winner which I guess was the 2011 w/o checking again, which Fed, obviously still stunned from the loss, described as close your eyes, go for broke winner "Junior Tennis."

No, you're thinking of H. Solomon. Djokovic plays "modern tennis," which involves a lot of time at the baseline but is not the same thing as grinding. You could say Nadal grinds on the clay. That would be a fair statement to me. So did Borg. So did (do) a lot of great clay court tennis players. (Not Fed, if you consider him great on clay, which I do).

Oh thanks, i didn't see you mentioned this one, indeed Unique shot, even Federer can't do this shot. :)

Yeh, it still looked awkward to me. Guys backhand is anything but fluid. Fed's kills it in the looks department. So does Almagro, Stan, Youhzny, Dimitrov and, well, just about every 1HB on tour except for Haas who looks like his shoulders are hunched up when he hits his backhand.

Maybe clay is that type of surface that it's natural to grind on it.

Jesus, that was scary. Nonchalantly hitting down the line backhand winners at will, hitting winner off Blake bombs at half volleys !! And on top of that no reaction at all - like an assassin !! And I thought Nadal was the scariest on court when in the zone !

To save a break point as well...

He smiles at around 6:40 :). I really don't think he could believe how well he was playing. In particular how well he was hitting his BH.

That whole YEC final match from 2006 was pure madness from Roger, and 2007 against Ferrer isn't far behind either.

Hardest forehand ever??

2:55 mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWcJehnsnoI

Massive power by Delpo, he was 3 or 4 meters behind the baseline, Federer wasn`t even bad placed to receive the shot, but the violence was mind- boggling. Look at the reaction from Fed (he jumps after the ball lands), he couldn`t quite believe how hard that shot was.

That Fed Blake match is the definition of zoning. I can see hitting a magic shot like that, but like 5-6 in a match?
