What do you think were the best strikers not S&V , those players that with a deep and angled BH or FH snapped forward gaining the net , finishing well to address the volley or smash ?

My list to get started:
1 ) Laver
2 ) McEnroe
3 ) Nastase
4 ) Gerulaitis
5 ) Ashe
6 ) Panatta
7 ) Cash
8) Rafter
9) Sampras
10) Newcombe
11) Connors
12 ) Noah
13 ) Edberg
14 ) Roche
15 ) Gottfried

Are you writing about who has the best approach shots?

If that's the case why is Gerulaitis there? Connors should be higher because he had awesome approach shots. Noah??

I'm sorry I was not clear for my broken English, but I begin to see that you have played well.

What defined approach is that in Italian are the BH attack and FH attack (or attack or attack by BH FH).
It 'a technique of approach to different network than the players of recent years.
Now for example Djokovic is good at pressing the opponent and gain field, and when the ball is in midfield places a winning shot.
Once the strategy envisaged instead a less violent, however precise, in order to embarrass the opponent and get to the net for an easy volley.
It was used mainly by those who did not possess a powerful service, so they can not make S & V.

Laver in my opinion was the best performer (youtube vs Connors and Borg).
He has an incredible timing. In walking distance is a strike deep.
I think the approaches of BH and FH is the "shot" best of the vast repertoire of Rodney.

The attack of the FH and BH attack have always been my favorite shots. And they are even now when I play tennis.

You think Noah too high? Or too underrated in my list ?
It ' s just my first hypothesis , enter your well thought of Noah .
I remember he had a very good slice backhand approach (like our Panatta ) , the ball bouncing very low, especially on red clay and bothered (like Panatta ) to bigs on red clay .
The attack so slice of hc and carpet was much less decisive . And it is one reason why I think that both Noah Panatta on fast courts no luck .

I have Noah numerous times on har-tru and hard court surfaces. I have also seen him play on television many times. His groundstrokes, especially the forehand side were not that great for approach shots. He got away with it because of his tremendous athleticism and wing span at the net. He would have been far more effective if he had Connor's great and I mean great approach shots.

It's true , the approach of FH was really awkward , it looked bad the approach of BH .
However if you've seen many times Noah , I trust you .

I want to know in which places have had the opportunity to see Yannick . In such tournaments ?
