Best strings for a tall flatter big hitter

I know “spin” is usually the desired topic when it comes to strings and polys in particular. My question: what is the best string for a taller guy (6’5”) big hitter and a flatter swing/shot? Shaped poly vs round? Poly vs hybrid? Stiff vs soft? Just overall thoughts on best strings and why

I wonder why Ivo karlovic uses the same racquet size as a 5 foot 1 WTA player. Maybe really tall players should be using racquets proportional to their size, like 29 inches.

It really depends on what you like. If its more feel and ball pocketing you are better off with a Multi.

Im a flat hitter too and my string of choice is Tecnifibre X One Bi-Phase, the champagne of multi:

I am your long lost brother. You need to get some spin on the ball. Try a gut/smooth poly combo. gut in the mains about 60lbs (maybe even a little tighter in hot weather or when playing harder hitters), a smooth poly like isospeed cream or yonex ptp or even Kirshbaum in the crosses at about 55. IF you can find some Klip (there is a shortage right now) use that for your first try. It is literally 60% of the cost of VS.

I'm 6'2", and hit pretty flat.

I like a multifilament in a denser string bed, and poly mains/multi or zyex crosses in just about anything lol. The hybrid gives me good spin when I need it but doesn't punish me much when I hit flatter shots. I usually string in the upper half of the tension range.

Just curious why you think your height has anything to do with the string you choose.
