I use synthetic guys as a cross in a hybrid with poly as the mains.
I tried the babolat n.vy with many polys and seems to work pretty well.
While looking around in the forum, I found that majority of the members enjoy the Prince Synthetic gut w/ duraflex or the Golden OG sheep micro.
I also found that some do not like the PSGD in the crosses for a hybrid job.

So, members, what is the favorite synthetic gut for the crosses?

I have only tried Gosen in a hybrid. My only other hybrid experience was with Prince Premier Attack but that's a multifilament. I find the Gosen to be pretty good.. Really livens up the stringbed, adding crispness and softness but also smooth enough for the poly to slide.

I don't think PSGD is a nice string to hybrid with poly because it is a fairly stiff syn gut so it won't soften the stringbed as much, and it has a coarse texture on the surface so it will most likely hinder the sliding/snap-back action of poly mains.

Forten Sweet 16ga natural is my choice as a cross with any poly.
Really softens up and seems to expand the sweet spot more than any other: I've tried, gosen 16 & 17, prince osg and various multi's.

I'm really liking Gosen AK Pro CX 17 as a cross. As a main, no, but it's fairly slick for a synthetic and seems to play nicely with a poly main.

It seems to hold tension well, wears well, and provides the slightly crisp (not OG Sheep crisp, or Wilson Sensation / Technifibre Multi-Feel soft, somewhere in-between) feel I want.

It's been on a 2 for 1 sale on and off, so I have gone through enough sets to form an opinion.
