Best tennis manual for children

What are the best tennis manuals for parents with children in terms of exercises, drills, etc.? Gabe Jaramillo had a pretty good one but he took it down some years ago and never replaced it with an updated version as he promised.

I have a three-year old and I'm slowly introducing him to the game.

I'm reading now the two volumes produced by the German Tennis Federation but, as expected, it's unbearably German and incredibly scientific.

I love those German ones. You're right though, incredibly scientific. I keep going back to them. I also really like Vic Bradens "Teaching Tennis to Young Children." Just make sure you're up to date on some other aspects of modern game so you can recognize what's clearly dated. But 95% of it is still spot on.

Its sound funny, and it's a brief read but I've always loved Pancho Gonzalez's "Tennis". It's of course quite dated but the simplicity of the tips are great. And a good reminder to keep the beautiful, simple game, just that. Stuff like, "If you are winning points from the baseline, stay at the baseline. If you are winning points at the net, stay at the net." "The serve should be one smooth motion." All of it, great advice for anyBody.
