Best tennis racket brand

for me personally, wilson, most solid-feeling rackets in my opinion

i like head, yonex, and dunlop as well; and the general consensus is that babolat is also good

For me (in this order): Wilson, Dunlop, Head, Babolat and the others. Most of my playing experience has been with racquets in my top three. Babolat tends to be too stiff and powerful for me.

It is not the brand, it is the material. The re-release of the Prince Graphite Classics feel solid, as did the Wilson PS 85s.

No, but it proves how stupid this thread is.
Blondes?
Brunettes?
Raven haired?
Red Heads?
Which is best?

I don't think the OP was trying to establish a universal ranking for the brands (he did say "for me personally"). The OP was probably just trying to survey people's preferences.

Overall, I tend to lean more towards Head racquets primarily and then Babolats secondly. For some reason, I don't seem to connect with many Wilson racquets.

They are all good or bad, but I have great expirience with Production quallity of Yonex and Volkl, so, in that criteria, for me, they are better by mile

OP, you'll likely get more sarcastic remarks because this has been argued many times over the years. (I've been a member of TT for about 10 years)

I like the genuine nature of your question so I'll answer. For me, the best brands are the ones with the best quality control. With that said, Yonex and Pacific, followed by Pro Kennex and Dunlop would be the best. Following up with the rest of the bigger companies would be Head, Prince, and Wilson and Babolat would tie for last because of their QC. It's a great thing that TW offers their matching program because you would almost never pick up two Wilson or Babolat sticks with the same specs.

With that said, I currently play with 2014 FO APDs.

I like Wilson racquets the best, then Head and Babolat are about tied at 2nd. I used to have a red YONEX racquet (was likely the 97" 330g one) that I was pretty good with, I remember it playing similarly to the Wilson Six One, but this was a long time ago.

Is there really a best racquet brand out there? We all have different body shapes, size and mechanics. What works for one person won't work for another. Now, I know this comment is gonna rub a lotta people the wrong way but I gotta get it out. I consider myself old school, TRUE SCHOOL! I can naturally adapt to any type of racquet I pick up. BRAND, STRINGS, GRIP TAPE, DAMPENER, RACQUET MATERIAL ETC.... DON'T MEAN A THING!!! Warriors go out pick up the first weapon they see and destroy their opponents!! RRRRAAAAArrrrrr

If their truly was a best racquet there wouldn't be that many available. IMO that's really the beauty of tennis. It is definitely a game where the individual has to find the best racquet, strings, tension, and even balls that suit their game.

One man's gold is another man's garbage. Always found that as long as I had belief and confidence in my equipment I'd play my best tennis.

That's my favorite thing about becoming a stringer is to help my customers find just that right combination for themselves.

I'll be the oddball and say Tecnifibre (yes, they make more than great strings).

I really liked the HEAD Youtek IG racquets I tried out before, but the Graphene updates seem to be more polarizing in how people feel about them.

Most people hold Yonex in high regard when it comes to quality, but the only Yonex I ever tried was the VCORE Tour 89, which I didn't like because I wasn't good enough to use it.

From what I've demoed and read on here, they all make quality frames so it is simply a matter of finding what you like, not what everyone else does.

So many different variables you can use to determine what's best, and none of them will be unequivocal ;)
But as far as I'm concerned, I'll base my personal assessment on technology innovations and overall quality, but I'll add that neither of these two criteria can be objective...
That said, my vote goes to Völkl and Prince :)

Prince guy, here.
Many play right for me. Comfy. Great variety in lineup. You can get both old and new school feel. They probably did the most functional innovations over last four decades. Stayed true to their heritage, while bringing great new things.
