Semi-Pro
Maybe, but that is never happening, so it is moot.
Lol so you completely contradict your own posts. Classic.Nadal was always either below Federer or below Djokovic, an eternal number 2. Nobody ever thought he was GOAT, thats for sure.
Federer on one knee outplayed Nadal and your idol with serve placement and shotmaking alone at ~38 at Wimbledon. Djoko…doesn‘t have that. He's 37 years old, playing poorly for his standards but still reached a Slam SF, QF (withdrew), and a F.
By any reasonable measure, his shot making talent has mitigated his physical decline and allowed him to play at a high level well past the retirement age of previous greats
Also, Djokovic won his last Slam at 36.3 years old. For comparison, Federer won his last Slam at 36.5 yo. ~2 months' worth of difference in "shot making talent", even if Novak never wins another Slam
At the Australian Open he was sick so we'll ignore that one. He played with a lot more conviction at the Olympic Final than the Wimbledon Final IMO because he wanted it more. Would his reaction to winning an 8th Wimbledon have been the same as his reaction to winning Olympic gold. I don't think it would have been. Then Djokovic must be the only player in history who loses motivation in a slam semi and final
Are you a Nadal fan out of interest? That’s pretty much it.
All anyone needs to do is go and do a search to see who has the most titles. Nadal isn’t in the top three in that comparison and Djokovic doesn’t stand alone at the top.
It’s a little crowded on that top step.
Djokovic on one knee at 37 made the Wimbledon final. If he wins a Slam next year, he will have won one after Fed's last Slam. Then what is your argument going to be?Federer on one knee outplayed Nadal and your idol with serve placement and shotmaking alone at ~38 at Wimbledon. Djoko…doesn‘t have that.
Novak beat Nadal in straights in the same place Zverev beat Nadal in straights a few weeks earlierDjokovic beat a horrible version of Nadal at the Paris Olympics.
Not to be confused with the RG tournament event.
lol, of Fed had “outplayed” Novak he would have won the matchFederer on one knee outplayed Nadal and your idol with serve placement and shotmaking alone at ~38 at Wimbledon. Djoko…doesn‘t have that.
In your opinion, what are the reasons why he will win on the 25th?He will win his 25th, don't worry. He is not finished like Nadal.
Novak is born to win while Nadal wasn't.
Gotta live with it, no ?
In your opinion, what are the reasons why he will win on the 25th?
It's over now, man.He has won this tournament 10 times and would have won it 11 times if not for Scott Morrison..... So he being so successful at that tournament I can imagine him channeling all his energy and determination towards it to maybe win it 1 final time.....It is just a guess really, there is no real guarantee for anything.
It's over now, man.
Djokovic will end up with 24 Major titles.
In 2023, Rafa played 2 tournaments. In 2024 he's played 7 tournaments including the Olympics. All wi=hile he was injured.Nadal has literally did that last 2 years! lol
It amounts to the same thing. Missing or not he’s been irrelevant. Djoko has been irrelevant in 2024 bar olympics whereas nadal has not been relevant since 2022 Wimbledon. In 2023, Rafa played 2 tournaments. In 2024 he's played 7 tournaments including the Olympics. All wi=hile he was injured.
With Murray expertise at succeding in AO's, Nole wiil win at least 5 more AO's, or be the runner up those. Guaranteed.Nadal retired. How long will Djokovic continue to play especially if he can’t win more Slams? Maybe retire at Wimbledon?
Former player section, please. In 2023, Rafa played 2 tournaments. In 2024 he's played 7 tournaments including the Olympics. All wi=hile he was injured.
Nadal retired. How long will Djokovic continue to play especially if he can’t win more Slams? Maybe retire at Wimbledon?
Federer and Nadal played on even though they couldn't win a 250, so you win a lot by sticking around even if you're not hoisting slam trophies.
In a way it was nice that Fed's last trophy was at home. A fitting end of sorts.Fed's last trophy was a 500, Basel 2019. He was an active player for less than 2 years after that, and he missed basically all of 2020 after losing to Djoko at the AO.
And by my count he only entered one 250 in 2020/21, his first tournament since AO20, which was Qatar 2021...and he lost to Basilashvili in the QFs after holding MP.
Next opponent would have been Fritz...then RBA.
But yeah, "played on even though he couldn't win a 250" sounds so haughty and cool...but it's pretty dishonest
True, time to accept the reality. Novak will be gone sometime next year. This isn’t happening in a million years. The big 3 era is over.
