Best Vcore?

Ive put pure aero 98 in my virtual cart for next purchase, and I saw new PJ of vcore yesterday. It looks really great and unique color on market.

I wanted try out yonnex (ezone and vcore) but I couldn't bare their paints (not really my thing except percept. I like it but I have control racquets already)

Speaking of vcore varients, which would be ideal to me? 95, 98 or 100.

I own
- Gravity pro
- Blade v9 16x19 (added 8g at 3 and 9)
- Pure aero rafa 290g

My fav one is gravity but kinda want abit higher launch angle.

Blade is probably performs the best in match but I dont like muted feeling. (still I play well with it ironically)

PA rafa is just fun racquet and I might get rid of it when I get next one.

As I was considering PA98, any vcore variant I should take a look?

I like the feel and control from the vc95 but it has a considereably smaller sweetspot than the VC98. With the change in drill pattern on the VC98, it is really a spin monster now, but wears through strings quite fast.
 
Another vote for the 98 which is in my racket bag (2021 version). I played the 95, and the sweetspot was just too small for me, even though it felt great when hitting it. I also regularly play with the gravity Pro, and think the 98 can be best for you, the 100 is just a lot of power coming from your other rackets that it might be difficult to switch back and forth to.
 
If possible, demo the racquets side by side, a racquet might look good on paper, but until you start swinging with it, you'll never know whether it's good for your style of play or not.

Better to spend a little to demo a racquet before spending 10 times the cost and finding out you don't like how it feels.

Compare to gravity pro, I found pure aero series are much easier and faster to swing.
is vcore same or similar for this matter?

that would be ideal but demoing is somewhat limited and cant try with tension and string I normally use.

Vcore is indeed much (much) easier to swing than Gravity Pro. They’re also less stable, though I haven’t tried the 2023 Vcore version, which supposedly is more stable (but probably still not at GPro level). I haven’t hit with the Pure Aero, so can’t compare between those two.
 
Vcore pro 97 2018 was one of the best yonex racquets ever made in my view. The TW review gave it very strong ratings, even better than the newer models that followed which were often too heavy with swingweight to generate sufficient racquet head speed.

310g unstrung. 326g strung. 317g strung swingweight. Beautiful specs.

I got one yesterday that's brand new and had been in storage for the past 6 years. I was bouncing around between there and FB marketplace in search of a bargain.

IMO some racquets are going downhill in recent years and it's a scramble to snap up older models

So if you're willing to do a little leg work and find one second hand I would recommend my current racket of choice, the VCORE SV 98 (released in 2014). This thing required some lead in the hoop for stability but it may be and do everything you're looking for. It's a Yonex, has a pretty open 16x20 string pattern which is my personal favorite as it gives you great access to both topspin and slice with a low-ish launch angle a little higher than 18x20s, plenty of natural power and maneuverability, has a crisp 67 stiffness rating and connected feel, has one of the best PJs of all time in my opinion (note: it does chip like crazy). When you put the specs side by side they're almost identical. In my opinion the Aero 98 is basically Babolat's VC SV 98 with more mass in the hoop for stability.

Ezone will dump to the net, vcore will sail long. Both have exceptional playability and stability and muteness. String spacing a little more open on the vcore!
 
Between the VCORE and EZONE definitely the EZONE it’s narrower string spacing has much better control and feel than the open muted string bed and response of the VCORE. Think EZONE is more Pure Strike like and the VCORE is more like a Pure Aero. However the Percept is probably the best volleying and touch racket of all the Yonex offerings but it is significantly lower powered than the other two lines.
