Witcher 1. No game had better atmosphere.

Then Mafia 1.

Then Fable: The lost Chapters.

Then it’s probably Age of Empires 2 and Age of Mythology.

I guess I'm too old. The only games I still play are GTA and The Elder Scrolls. A long wait each time.

Grand Theft Auto is still buy on first day material. Never really fancied it online because I'm useless. lol

I got in the mood for rpgs earlier in the year and ended up playing 3 or 4 of them. Persona did lose me a bit towards the end.

I haven't played a lot of games in my life but the ones I did I tortured them for months/years. I used to play GTA San Andreas for like 2 years non stop in high school. Same with Max Payne 2 even thought it took a week to finish the game.

I've got a special place for Doom 95 - I actually played it when it was released, I was like 4 or 5 years old and it scared the s**t out of me. Also I played the new Doom with my brother in law and I just couldn't get into it. It's all graphics and zero gameplay.

Oh and who could forget Tomb Raider. The new editions are good but it's still TR 2, 3, 4, 5 for me.

I'm limited when it comes to X-box/PS2/PS3, etc games, because I spent most of my childhood on the game boy and other generational hand held consoles but Skyrim was my first open world, massive map game I played. And it just blew me away like no other game has, so it will probably always remain my #1. I finished Witcher 3 a little while back as well, it rivals it. I got the bad ending though and was depressed for a couple days lol..

Pokemon Platinum or Crystal is also up there.

How old are you?

I loved Skyrim even though it felt a bit repetitive after a while. I guess Skyrim for you was like Morrowind for me. I still listen to the soundtracks from time to time, so soothing.

So you were 18? Took you a while :D

I played Morrowind maybe a year after it was released (I was like 13-14 years old), all my friends did and I was completely blown away. I guess when you have perspective and you play Skyrim at like 23 it's not the same anymore but I doubt it will get better in your mid to late 20s unless you're a true gamer.

Max Payne has the best quote I've ever heard in a game.

''colder than a walk-in fridge. Cold as a gun.''

Had mates round and they all thought it was as hilarious as I did so it became unforgettable. What a line. That was Max for ya.,

Also strategy games: Age of Empires 2 and its lesser known brother Cossacks II: battle of Europe. The second one has insanely good graphics for such an old game.

Knights of the old republic would be in the conversation. I did enjoy the second one when I played it again but first was amazing. Played it over Christmas time one year. Good times.

I used to watch professional AoE2 tournament matches with commentary, especially the ones by The Viper, it was extremely fun and you’ve learned a lot from it

BTW you didn’t fall in love with the Witcher series, considering where you’re from?

Yeah, I mean, I played like the Crash Bandicoots, Tony Hawks, the wrestling games, you know, those popular series on the Play Station, but I pretty much grew up on Pokemon lol. I've played all generations, since I was like 5 when I got Red as a Christmas gift. Everyone was playing Pokemon back then.

Have you ever played Morrowind?

I wonder what it would be like to play Skyrim first after you already got used to all the advancements that just weren't there in Morrowind. For someone who played Morrowind years back Skyrim felt just too easy. In Morrowind you literally had to figure out everything on your own, you had to use a silt strider to travel and there were only a few of them on the map.

But still for 2002 it was revolutionary.

I've only played a bit with my brother in law but didn't get into it.

For an open world game I need to be alone, playing at night with the lights off to really get a feel of the world.

No, I've heard all about the praise that game gets, but I've never really felt the need to buy/play it tbh.... The only older game I've played in a long time is CTR, just for the nostalgia, used to jam it with my brothers a lot.

Resident Evil 4 or The Last Of Us

Was just getting ready to write Resident Evil 4, Joel Samitch. That game was a masterpiece in suspense horror survival. Just a brilliant game throughout. Both thrilled at the final moment when I had beaten the game, and saddened a bit that the journey was over. :(

Tomb Raider 1-3 great games as well.

I can't not post the greatest evo moment ever. I've seen so many amazing things in games. This is the absolute peak for me. One more time baby.
