Hi what are the best shoes for wide feet?

ASICS gel resolution 9+
Babolat Fury wide all too tight in the forefoot at the big toe joint

Babolat SFX is the only shoes that's wide enough but it doesn't offer enough stability.

Try new balance 1007 2e or 4e. Try new balance lav v2 2e. Try new balance ct rally 2e. Try diadora speed blueshield torneo 2 wide (2e). Try yonex sonicage 3 wide (2e). Try yonex sonicage plus (4e).

Is the Yonex Sonicage Plus definitely 4E wide? TW have the width as "Wide" which I always equated to 2E.

Thanks guys unfortunately I'm in Europe and can't get 2e or 4e shoes so will have to look at importing!

Is the sonic cage wider than ASICS gel resolution would you say?

I had 3 pairs of the SFX3s before trying the Propulse Fury 3, definitely not as wide or comfortable, the upper and collar are stiff and I really regret buying them. Got a blister from the collar on the inside of my ankle and they've been a distraction on the court for sure. I'm determined to some decent wear out of them, but my patience might not get me there.

Yes, sonicage wide and plus are wider than gel res 9 wide.

FILA SpeedServe Evergized
FitVille Amadeus

I found the Sonicage Plus listed as 4.5E on a couple of sites in Australia when I went looking to buy a pair, thought that was odd, but mine are on their way so will know in a week.

Adidas Solematch Control x100... I bought like 8 pairs the last year or so to stock up. So good, stable and perfect for my wide feet. I don't think I've come close to twisting my angle since using these.

Also a bonus that that outgoing colors are priced really well too... like $50-60.

I'm more limited due to the size needed (15, borderline 16 depending on brand/shoe), but I've always gone with New Balance. They're standard shoes are usually slightly wider than a Nike or Adidas, plus they have the 2E option.

However, I decided to try something new, just got a pair of Fila Speedserves in. I tried them on and they definitely fit like a 2E shoe. I will be taking them onto the court for the first time tonight actually though, so I don't know how they feel when actually playing. So far though, I'd say they're definitely worth a shot if you have wide feet, especially if you're unable to get 2E shoes.

How is the outsole durability for Solematch Control?

It's pretty good but I only have one point of reference on hard courts. The NB started hurting my knees around this time so I tossed them, the solematch control seems to be great still, I think the cushioning inside is also higher quality.

So they arrived today, and they're definitely 4E wide, possibly 4.5E wide (if that's really a thing) and they are wider than the SFX3s. They run a little long for me, I'm usually a size 10 4E in my NB runners and size 10 in my SFX3s, but I'd be tempted to go down to a size 9.5 with these, but its not a deal breaker. They feel much better than the Fury 3s, looking forward to getting them on court, so I'll be dragging my Fury 3s all over the court to make that happen sooner :p

Why don't you want to try the 2022 color ways of the Speed Serve energized?

I couldn't find them via the usual online tennis stores here in Australia, and by the time I looked at FILA's online store there were none in my size, which was disappointing because they were cheaper. They have the Axilus 2 in my size (albeit a horrible orange colour way), are they wide too?

I just found another site with Axilus 2 at really cheap prices (might not be legit), so keen to know if they're also wide.

I tried a fila shoe once. Maybe felt 1 mm wider than a narrow nike shoe, but narrower than a gel res 9 2e, which is narrow to me.
The 2022 colorways of the SpeedServe Energized are definitely wider than 2E
I am a 2E and it is the only shoe which isn't DESIGNATED as wide where I am still sloshing around in the shoe
Dang, that's impressive. Maybe I'll recommend them to my brother, his feet aren't as long as mine but they are wider, haha
I loved the way the NB looked/played in, but the Adidas are just much higher quality in the outsole and inner cushioning for the same price / cheaper.
$56 only now if any of you guys live in the states

Did you go half size up? And do they break in at all?
Just got mine delivered and 10 feels a little too tight and 10.5 can fit my thumb so I'm debating which size to go with

No break-in with these and I went my normal size. Another two pairs came in the blue colorway adidas has/had on sale... $48 :D

that's why I'm considering these :D
the toe box area (with extra layer of outsole) feels a little too stiff on these so wondering if it will loosen up or stretch a bit.
If not, I can just go with 10.5

Anybody tried Addidas Barricade 2023s?are they as wide as solematch control in the forefoot?wider than regular gel resolutions?

I never tried the barricade but I have tried ubersonic and they were too narrow for me. I might give the barricade a try but never bothered because these are so high quality and cheap at the same time.

Here's my list that I've tried lately

Wide forefoot and toebox:
Head revolt Evo 2 = generous medium/borderline wide as TW classifies it and I would agree.

K swiss Hypercourt express 2

Adidas solematch control

Babolat jet mach 3 wide

Fila speedserve = widest shoe I've ever tried haha. New color ways after 2022 are supposedly not as wide

Generous medium/wide forefoot narrow toebox
Wilson rush pro ace
Head revolt pro 4.0

I started with the rush pro ace and really liked them but they weren't wide enough in the toebox so had to size up which resulted in my feet sliding forward and blisters.
I ended up going with the head revolt Evo 2.0. It doesn't have the plush feeling I'd prefer but the babolat jet mach 3 and solematch both put my foot in an overly pronated position. The speedserve was too big and the durability on the upper was terrible. I literally broke the shoe lace eye let my first time putting them on. The hypercourt express 2 were nice but I already had the Evo 2 and didn't feel like they were that much better to justify the cost.

Hey good points!
I found the babolat jet Mach 3 wide to be a good fit if you've wide big toe joint!good wide fitting show. It's available in Europe too!Not amazing support or stability like a ASICS resolution but I guess you have to decide what your compromise is.i tried sole match control they are wide in toebox but would go generous medium. I'd also buy a size up in solematch control fit is small. I went 0.5 size up and toes are tight.

so far i say adidas barricade and kswiss hypercourt express were very good for me and my superwide flat feet. It was a mistake to believe the hype and buy the asics gel revolution 9.... a waste of money for me.

I can't get my foot in either barricade or kswiss hyper court.... Not saying asics gel res are the answer but neither of those are wide enough for me.

Babolat SFX EVOs are widest I’ve found currently. ASICS even in 2E weren’t as wide. Have the Hypercourt Express 2 in 2E currently, SFX EVO is still wider, just not advertised as a wide shoe for some reason.

i never thought anyone could have a larger foot than mine, i look like hulk really. both k-swiss and barricade are quite comfy for me. I didn't get the size 2e or the wide size because i buy shoes online as i live in Kenya and there is nothing here, except some Head stuff, and frankly also Head shoes i found them to be comfortable a bit, only i had to get a half size bigger than what i usually do. AAnyway, the big thing is shoes cannot be purchased on internet.

Maybe I have Fred Flinstone feet I don't know. I just know the only shoes I have been abler to use are the Wilson Rush Pro Ace Wide and New Balance 2E various versions.

Lets time I tried K-Swiss and Barricade I couldn't even get the front part of my foot in the shoe.

Agreed. I CANNOT recommend Solematch Control for wide feet. I had high hopes and ordered 2 pairs but had to return them after wearing around the house for a week before admitting defeat! Best shoes I've found for wide feet are the original Courtjam Control. Hard to find now though and the version 3's are a totally different fit – higher arches and narrower (strange that AFAIK they never released a V2!). I'm about to buy V2 of the Solematch Control in the hope they're wide and flat like they look.

Agreed re Barricade - couldn't get my foot in!
Definitely a No-No for wide feet.

Does anyone have any suggestions for high arches or high volume feet? I have been trying the Gel Res Xs but struggling to get a good lockdown. Any shoelace suggestions? Maybe thicker rounder laces? Different shoelace strategies have been helping some but tough with the different eyelet setup on the new model.
