Better pictures of string patterns/density

Would it be possible to include a picture of a strung racquet amongst all the other views you show? This would help me see string density and 3 or 4 mains in throat. The current picture format makes the strings disappear in the view where you can actually see the strung racquet.

Do you mean the image on the frames' page? I just copy and paste into a graphics editor and zoom in. That and knowing the pattern and skips tells me whether the mains will tie off at the hoop's tip or throat. If you are trying to determine the density of the central mains, I could see you doing it. However just seeing the spacing of the grommets thru the throat piece would be enough for me.

I do mean the image on the frames page. I could do all of those things to see the string density or TW could start taking 1 picture the same way everytime they post a new frames image and we could all have that information at a glance. Leaving much more time in the day for playing tennis and buying equipment ;)

sp1derman,

We currently image all of our racquets unstrung so we would have to get a racquet strung up for the image you requested. However, I will pass along your request.

Thanks,
Brittany, TW

Thanks! This sort of image is kind of visible when TW reviews a racquet in the beginning of the video. Just looking for a standard pic of a strung racquet face.

Guess you could take pictures of a demo fresh off the stringer. [/sarcasm] Might I request that you use black strings so that older eyes can see them better. 8-B [/end sarcasm]

Yes. String pattern density can vary a lot, and has a big influence on how a frame plays.

I just bought a Juice Pro yesterday as an impulse buy at a pro shop, and was pleasantly surprised after getting it strung up that the 16x20 pattern is denser than some of my 18x20s. If I had known this I might have picked up one of these from TW several years earlier!
