Even many Djokovic fans think so as well. Two great years.
The two most popular players won 3 slams in 2008 and 0 slams in 2015. For this reason most people will vote for 2008.
Yeah. I'm just explaining the outcome of the poll.Even many Djokovic fans think so as well.
2015 was a weak season with Nadal not around to stop Djokovic like in 2012-2014 which allowed Djokovic to win almost every big tournament he entered. 2015 Federer and Murray are not at 2012-2014 Nadal level.
Way overstated though the balded. More 2012 Murray than 2013 Murray who was injured effected for a lot of the year.Partially correct, but
Fed did stop Djoko in Wim 12
Murray in USO 12 and Wim 13
14-15 Fed did not have the full physical tools to stay with Djoko over a long match
Murray's top level in 15 was not near what it was in 12-13. (physical+mental)
Only one in 14-16 who had both physical&mental to go with a well playing Djokovic in Bo5 was Stan. (exception being 2014 RG Nadal)
And Stan did go 3-1 vs Djok in slams in that time period (including 1 all in 2015)
Way overstated though.
I think he played at a higher level in 12 at slams indeed and that was his best year at slams but 13 is overstated and he was out for much of 13 with injury. Not 100 % sure what you mean, but
Crumbled in the last set and half vs Djoko in AO 2015 final
got walloped by djokovic at IW (2&3)
bagelled in last set of Miami 2015 final
got walloped in shanghai by djokovic (1&3) (12 had MPs in 2nd set - yeah, Djokovic was clearly better in 15 Shanghai, but come on, 4 games?)
RG played some good tennis and obviously won Canada final
couldn't take fed to a TB in Wim 15 semi
Murray vs top 5 in 12: 6/13
Murray vs top 5 in 13: 3/4
combined: 9/17 = 52.94%
Murray vs top 5 in 15: 5/15 = 33.33%
Caveat: Murray's best years on clay were 15 and 16 obviously.
In London certainly not gonna be cheap to fixJust been told my house needs major damp proofing. Lost the will man.

It just means that all the Fedal fans outnumber the Novak fans on all subjective ‘weak era’ narratives. Personally I think that all sports including tennis just keeps improving and it is ludicrous to compare the current era against past eras.2008 destroying 2015 in the poll.

So 2017-2020 is the strongest era? Peak Big 3 in the last few years?
Problem is 2008 is considered to be a great year while 2015 isn’t. I would wager only a select few wins would win polls over 2008.2008 destroying 2015 in the poll.

You did that some last time year to bait me with 2008 and 2011 but it got deleted not long after IIRC. That would legit be a balanced one I think 2011 would slightly edge a poll actually.Initially I was thinking 2008 vs 2011 tbh. Just interested to see how many people voted 2008 over 2015, also voted 2015 over 2007.

Giving thread making a break until February. Relying on you to make a good threads but stop with impression of me lol.I do expect 2011 would win that one yes. Guess you're not the only one who rehashes ideas aha.

Well, meet poison.Yeah. I'm just explaining the outcome of the poll.
Didn't seem so subjective in another post of yoursIt just means that all the Fedal fans outnumber the Novak fans on all subjective ‘weak era’ narratives. Personally I think that all sports including tennis just keeps improving and it is ludicrous to compare the current era against past eras.
If 2007 was ahead of 2015 in the poll, of course 2008 would be too.2008 destroying 2015 in the poll.

Anyway back to topic even though i hard disagreeIf you stop exlusively trying to bait Fedovic wars I'll stop lol.
Anyway back to topic even though i hard disagree .
How would you break down 2008 and 2015?
AO: 2008 IMO. Djokovic was GOATING and so was Tsonga.Anyway back to topic even though i hard disagree .
How would you break down 2008 and 2015?
So 2015 is a better yearBerdych beat 2015Rafa at the AO 62 60 76.
Murray beat 2015Rafa at Madrid 63 62.
Wawrinka beat 2015Rafa at Rome 76 62.
Fognini beat 2015Rafa at Rio, Barcelona and US Open.
2015Rafa lost to Berrer, Berdych, Fognini (x3), Raonic, Verdasco, Djokovic (x4), Murray, Wawrinka (x2), Dolgopolov, Brown, Nishikori, Lopez, Tsonga, Federer.
I think FO was better in 2015 despite Nadal in 08.Per big event? It would probably be quicker to name an event where 2015 was stronger, not sure any come to mind. Cincy, maybe Paris? Lol.
I think FO was better in 2015 despite Nadal.
Good breakdown.AO: 2008 IMO. Djokovic was GOATING and so was Tsonga.
FO: 2008. Nadal > all.

Nadal reaching the lowest point of his career made it look more competitive. So that makes a tournament better? 2008 Nadal would beat 2015 Murray and Wawrinka in straight sets. So a tournament became better because 2015 Djokovic wasn't good enough to do that?
You just look from a Nadal pov. 2015 had a wider variety on players in form at that event.Nadal reaching the lowest point of his career made it look more competitive. 2008 Paris is underrated. Good run to the title by Tsonga, beating Stepanek, Djokovic, Roddick, Blake and Nalbandian.AO: 2008 IMO. Djokovic was GOATING and so was Tsonga.
