Beware of "Dae"

I responded to a WTB ad here for Vcore Pro 97 310. The kid responded and asked for pics which I sent then he kept asking for a discount when I told him the price was firm. He agreed to pay my asking price and then told me he would pay half now, half upon receipt. I told him no thanks and ended the conversation. He has no previous feedback here. Beware...

Hi there,

1. I mentioned for discount twice and stop right after you said "bottom line" and the pictures was sent after we agreed on the price. So you conveniently left that part out on your posting.

2. Yes, after what we agreed on I did say that but I also said I will give you a reference phone number or you could look me up through TAPTALK. You didn't say "no thanks" you said "Good luck with your search. No one does that. Bye".

Would you like me to post our dialogue via email and through texts here?? I can also take screenshot of my past transaction from taptalk or provide reference number for you because you can't seem it find it. I will be happy to buy those from you if you're willing :)

PS. I don't if it's just me but no one pays full until they receive the items especially from online forum like this.. Welcome to 2019

LOL, ok good luck finding someone that will ship you their stuff with half the money. You won't. Also I have plenty of positive feedback on THIS FORUM, you have ZERO.

I see that you have good credibility. I am still willing to buy, if you still want to proceed with the transaction. I am only practicing my safe online trade.

Just an update

I offered this kid full payment upfront and ends up ignoring me lol. Yea I get that you have good feedbacks here but only if your decency is good as your credibility. Have a good day :)

yeah, i've received some strange, sketchy requests. when i don't feel comfortable, i just tell the prospective buyer, "no thanks." and move on. since no transaction occurred, it did not merit leaving any reference.

I wasnt even offended when he tried to publish this post and twist the context here. I even texted him saying that I will pay everything upfront after checking out his positive feedbacks here.. and yet still ignores me and throws a tantrum like a "kid" smh...

Only because the would-be seller isn't an idiot.

There are some other recent scam threads on here. I wasn't referring to this thread alone.

"Dae" may be fine but the whole "I'll pay half up front" scheme is a giant red flag for any seller with a brain.

TW should not allow minors (also known as children) to do business on this forum. It causes 90% of the problems in my experience.

I'm surprised they still don't have some form of ID verification/registration process to screen out the yutes. Also, surprised someone who got
ripped off here hasn't sued TW yet. It will happen eventually.

I helped rescue a lot of people who were ripped off here in the past but I stopped doing it because I kept seeing people, even adults, do the same stupid shyt over and over.
"Gee, I sent a gift payment to a teenager with no references and I never received the rackets. What do I do now?" After a point, I felt like I was enabling idiots. Experience is the best teacher so maybe not helping them get their money back is better for them in the long term.

Very contradicting from the first post. If anything don't you think it's wrong thread to make statement like that??

I don’t feel comfortable with this kid. People that make stupid demands like half now half later will probably find a reason to nitpick the product and try and file a PayPal complaint. If you’re not comfortable just steer clear.

You’re part of the problem. When you see something odd and don’t let the other members know you’re just leaving the door open for someone else that’s not as savvy to potentially get ripped off later.

I had a bad feeling about this kid. The way he talked like a hood rat in his messages. I told him my price was firm then he asked for a student discount and the final straw of half now half later.

I don’t know if he’s legit but I won’t deal with him and he has zero feedback here.

Please do post the entire correspondence. Otherwise you will also be “part of the problem”.

Interesting. I would not send any payment for goods to a stranger via Zelle or PayPal friends and family because there’s no recourse if things go wrong.

As a seller, I never request it either because i want the buyer to feel confident in dealing with me. The only time I’ve engaged in transfers is with a seller who I’ve done a successful deal previously.

Definitely understand Dae for offering half payment upfront and half after receipt.

There's no recourse for the seller if you send your stuff and they never pay you the other half either.

I never asked him to send it friends and family. I will send it friends and family if a seller has good feedback on a forum from other members in which case I do and he still does not. However I never asked him to send it that way, just told him I would ship it once I receive the payment in full.

Doesn't matter I sold the sticks to another member on this forum that wasn't a pain the butt to deal with.

It’s a fail on both sides lol. I wouldn’t mention friends and family to a stranger without listing references as madog said. Why couldn’t the seller send one pic of the bumper? Also, telling the buyer you plan to send via fedex ground isn’t going to motivate him to buy. The price for usps 2 day priority is nearly identical to ground as long as the box is correct in size.

The buyer saying “how should we proceed this” sounds just a bit unprofessional. Yes there is no seller who would agree to half now half later. The buyer is responsible to look up references. The buyer only needs to pay upfront using the PayPal business option to make PayPal liable if the seller doesn’t deliver.

Read again, no one suggested friends and family for anything. I did send him an additional picture of the bumper. I don't care if it motivates him or not, that's how I ship everything, those are my terms. USPS is a circus and breaks/loses packages all the time not to mention it takes 30 minutes waiting in line at the post office when I can just print a label at home and drop off at FedEx any time day or night.

It's funny how your narrative changes lol and when did you ever send me the picture of bumper??
