Bianca Andreescu!

Yes, I am a player. I've played for quite a long time.
Then you should understand how tension and turmoil in your mind could drastically lower you level of play.
Yes, Serena Williams made many unforced errors while Andreescu was playing well and then as her level dropped a bit Williams began to play better.
One thing influences the other. It's really quite simple and self evident.

She's done every talk show in North America and has her parents in tow. Her mother actually seems much more approachable and relaxed away from the Open.
I think she said she will play three tournaments before the end of the year.

I've seen from personal experience, and on TV, that when someone is getting blown out they sometimes give up and just start going for BIG shots.

Usually they continue to miss and end up losing even worse, but on some rare occasions those shots start falling in, which gives them some confidence and it begins to snow ball.

I think that's what happened in the 2nd set of the final.

When it got to 5-5, both players woke up again.

Bianca reverting back to her good form and Serena once again becoming nervous knowing she was back in the match.

A little bit disappointed that she choked  that means she is human

Even tough soon or later the winning streak will come to an end she will be fine :)

Looks like Osaka having her Dad back as her primary coach was a smart move.

She was able to handle most of Bianca's junk very well, That is something she wouldn't have been able to do 6 months ago.

Hopefully this can turn into the new Chrissy vs Martina rivalry that womens tennis needs.

Bianca will bounce back & hopefully they will meet again in the world tour finals.

"I don't want to sound like cocky or anything, but I kind of forgot how it feels to lose, which I think is a good thing." - Bianca Andreescu

Could Bianca end the year with the best winning % in history for a single season?

She currently has 45 wins & only 4 losses for the year, which is a 92% winning percentage!

Andreescu has had a very good year, but no, of course she won’t finish with the best winning percentage.

Navratilova had an 86-1 record in 1983.

Also, 2 of those defeats for Bianca came in slams, and not in the latter stages either.

So she's had the best winning % season in 36 years??

Graf & Chrissy must have had some great seasons like that too.

No - I was just stating what the best winning % ever was.

Serena had 53-3 (95%) in 2015. Andreescu's percentage might be the best since then.

0 and 3 since this statement...I think she remembers now.

Hopefully she learns from this & doesn't let the fame & fortune derail her, like it did to Genie Bouchard.

Not to worry.
By that time she should have at least 20 slams in the bag.

Back in the seventies, a meniscus injury meant mandatory retirement.

She's muscular and her build puts more pressure on her knees.

I won't be reassured until she's back on a tennis court and playing semis/finals.

Bianca might have a serious Achilles heel in being injury prone. Which is a shame, as she appears to be the most exciting package of raw talent and competitive fire to come around in some time. .

It is interesting to note however that both Andreesco and Raonic are born in East Europe.
Very interesting to note that, so while "Andreesco" was born in East Europe, Andreescu was born in this particular country:

22% of Canadians are foreign born but Bianca is not one of them. She was born in Mississauga, Ontario. 37.5% of Canadian children under 15 have at least one foreign born parent
