Biardo clamps on a Gamma Crank?

I have an old Gamma Crank (lock out) stringer and I want to use a 2 y/o set of Bairdo clamps on it. I can’t looses that rectangular lock under the base enough to get it to slide on the table. Any advice?

The Bairdo clamps are just so much smoother easier and quicker to use.

The allen head/hex nuts on the bottom of the Baiardo base clamps? Yeah, those puppies are on there tight. First, I doubled up a thick towel over the rectangular piece. Then I secured the rectangular piece with a pair of locking pliers (with the towel in between to protect the metal on the rectangular piece). Finally, holding the locking pliers with one hand, I used the other hand to loosen the allen head nuts with a long allen wrench. Not ideal, but I got them to break loose.

Guessing they applied thread lock to the bolts.

That opened them up enough to slide on the gamma table? Is the gamma table thicker than the Biardo table or something? The rectangular piece at the bottom of the clamp base seems pretty universal. It just won’t slide onto the table when I get them in.

Can’t speak to whether or not those base clamps could be fit on a Gamma table.

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood what you were saying…I thought you were trying to loosen those hex nuts and could not.

There's a lot more to this than just loosening the bolts.

There are numerous variables involved.
