Just because the Big 3 retire doesn't mean tennis ceases to exist as a sport.

Even though the players today are not worthy of even tying the shoes of the Big 3 and Murray, at least there will be more variety in the winners of big tournaments and I welcome that.

I will probably support Thiem because he is the oldest of the bunch and his time will be more limited.

No one cause no matter who I choose I will be let down time and time again and cba for that. Struggle to get two decent consecutive tournaments together

Will continue watching tennis as a fan of the sport. Unsure who I would support ATM though. Lots of emerging future ATG talents and interesting personalities to choose from. :)

i am in my mid 30s, so i am past that stage to fight on tennis forums for a particular player who i support.......i will just enjoy the game and always keep an eye on interesting game styles........i will criticize very heavily all those who deserve it........

I don’t support any particular player, but want to see good tennis. After the Big 3, I like the hard-hitting style played by Wawrinka and Thiem where they look like they can dominate anyone when they are playing well. Among the young players, Jannik Sinner intrigues me and I need to watch more of his matches. I had high hopes for Felix, but his lousy record in ATP finals so far doesn’t augur well for his future potential to win major tournaments.

Thiem first and Medvedev second, probably.

Shapo and FAA too if they can get it together.

Interested to see what Sinner can do. Seems like he’s got talent.

I do think it’s safe to say that I won’t be as invested in the sport, though.

It could still be another 5 years until they're all gone and there could be a whole new crop of players we don't even know about yet.

I bet Thiem's going to be on his last legs by the time Rafa & Novak are gone.

I don't think I'll have one particular player... I'll cheer for Tsits, Med, Shapo - they all have Slavic bloodline. So does Zverev, but something rubs me wrong way with him...

Yep, I think I will just enjoy the tour in its entirety a little more. It will be fun not having a rooting interest.

Its hard to tell which player I will support after novak retires, I may not support anyone or some new player will appear until than, but so far my interest lies in Shapovalov, Rublev, Medvedev and Sinner. If Thiem will be a factor at that point in time I might support him.

I don’t think I’ll have a strong favorite once Nadal retires. Though I do know who I definitely WON’T support: Sinner, FAA, Shapovalovovovov. This trio makes me sick.

That's a shame because I'm not sure if Murray can bend over to tie his own shoes at this point. He's gonna need somebody to do that.

May I ask why?
A tone of undeserved hype (All 3)
Unlikeable play style for my taste (Aliassime, Shapovalov)
Unlikeable appearance (Lol, sorry, Jannik, but you look like a halfbreed babyfaced clone of Edmund and Murray)

I don't know. I might just be a fan of the game when Novak retires. Hewitt was my favorite when I was little then it became Novak when I was still a kid but now that I'm older I'm not sure I'll feel nearly as strongly about players as I did when I was younger. None of the young guys have particularly caught my eye. I like Med's personality but his strokes are an eye sore. Maybe I could get behind one of the Canadians. I'm worried about it though because it's harder to have passion about watching events when you don't have a strong rooting interest.

Fokin'A!

Kyrgios will be the Ivanesevic of the 2020s, will root for him to win Wimbledon as a wildcard over 42-year-old Rafa

Tiafoe (Go USA)

If the big three come together after retirement for a legends league, could it possibly outgross the ATP? If it happens soon you could have guys like Hewitt, Haas, Berdych, Ferrer, maybe even Roddick and McEnroe as the early round filler. Then the next wave of Murray, Stan, Cilic, Verdasco, Feliciano, Gasquet, etc. Maybe some early retirees like Delpo and Nishikori. Federer might be planning it as we speak.

the sport will go on. i don’t know if i think about it in terms of “support”—i love watching federer play, but tennis will always have matchups, drama, etc. From a style standpoint i like watching tsitsipas, shapovalov, medvedev, fognini, and yeah, kyrgios for sure. we’ll find new rivalries to enjoy even if we don’t see the ridiculous levels of a nadal, novak, roger.

i was bummed when edberg, goran, pete, safin, rios retired, but their replacements did ok!

The next great tennis players have to raise the bar shown by the Big 3.
When they do, fans, sponsors, the media and of course the ATP will continue to promote the sport as it has been until now.
The stories do not stop, they are only rewritten with a different script to satisfy new generations eager to get excited about athletes who defy the extraordinary. As it has always been.
:)
