Big Banger ACE

Anybody can recommend a decent hybrid with Big Banger Ace on the mains ?
I'm thinking to put a multifilament on the crosses and string them something like 53/55 ?

Any folks out there that use this ?

Thanks.

Go thin on the Ace (18 or 17L) and put a thick soft multi like TF NRG2 16 in the cross. Your tension range seems about right...

i'd pick TF x1 biphase over NRG2 because it doesnt fray like NRG2

an ace/timo hybrid sounds awesome but a poly/poly wont enough feel for all courters. probably great for baseliners

BB ace only comes in a 18 gauge, i found that putting a syn. or multi with a poly ruins the poly. You dont get the extra bite + spin that all poly gives you.It will give you more comfort + control but it really diminishes the poly affect.

Here's a change of pace. I put the Ace 18 on the crosses with NXT 17 on the mains. Had this at 60lbs for both on a PDR to control the power. Plan on doing the same to a Speedport Black but at 56lbs each.

Thanks.

BB Ace on mains at 53
Wilson Sensation at 55

I will put this on a K90 Tour racquet so I'm looking for spin fro the poly, power and feel from the multi.

Here you have a thin strong string against the string that I would rate to have the worst durability. I can see the Sensation's durability letting you down.

Then, it's a waste of a stringjob.

Is the Sensation that bad ? I don't play with it regularly but I just bought one.

i've tried ace with a babolat conquest 17 cross hybrid. great bite and spin on the ball. keep in mind ace is 18g and will break quickly if you put a lot of spin on the ball - especially with an open pattern frame

I have tried BB Ace with Gamma Live Wire 16, and that combo is by far my favorite over Duralast/Nxt, Alu16/Biphase, and CyberFlash/Wilson Extreme Syn Gut. ;)
