non poly cross is garbage. Once the outer coating wears off in the first few hrs, crosses will start to fray and string bed will lock up because mains will be unable to move freely due to high friction between strings. I would go with shaped poly mains (hyperG or cyclone, whichever string’s feel you prefer more) and big hitter silver rough cross (textured poly cross is not bad and doesnt prevent mains from sliding as much as u may think...federer uses alu rough crosses in his gut poly setup). As for choosing between hyperG and cyclone for mains, hyperG will maintain it’s sharp edged shape longer than cyclone so id give the edge* to hyperG [emoji57]
