Hello!!!

Here is finally the news you guys were waiting for monts and monts!

i was @ the davis cup the netherland vs france and they told me this....

here is the new name of the new racket line wilson 2010!

the name is: changed from Wilson K-factor into.........


:):)WILSON BLX!!!!!:):)

and also:

the name of the federer racket will still be:
wilson blx Six-One Tour 90

if i get pictures from him i post them immediately!

BLX ... what is that? Extra black? Is this some newer "proprietary" blacker carbon composition? It will make the frame stiffer, yet it will be easier on the arm with increased feel and the entire stringbed will be a sweetspot. It will make every 3.0 player into a 5.0. All hail the new bestseller - the BLX90 tour!

Your friend probably just told you this so you won't be around annoying him about the new wilson racquets anymore.

You're missing the point... we're not saying you're a liar, I'm guessing your friend is fooling you so he doesn't have you around all day asking him about the new wilsons that will come out.

BTW, what should "blix" mean? At first I thought extreme black too but then it would be more appropriate for a pr0n movie than a racquet.

What an exhausting (and tiresome) arms race the racquet manufacturers have gotten themselves into, forever having to come up with the next gimmick and new pjs that they have to paint on their pros' sticks. It's pretty pathetic, no?
 
The popularity of BLX will be entirely dependent upon what it stands for. If it's some "great new" technology, not a person is going to mind "BLX" as long as accurately shows context.

Wilson K Factor FX wasn't beautiful neither 8) nothing easy to pronounce ... why don't use simple names ... Pro Staff was a great one ... Why don't go with Grand Slam Series, Roger tools, Delpo Monster Forehand ... holy crap, the 2010 don't like it.:twisted:

I liked it when they just added "Hyper" to all their racquet line names.

If it's real, I don't care if it's called BLX, caca or any other **** name as long as the paint job is better than the k-factor and plays like the k-factor with less power and more feel...

Very curious to see how it plays out. BLX at first listen doesn't strike me as something exciting, and following up the terrible aesthetics of their K factor line. I gotta wonder what the wilson team has been smoking these days.
 
The first that that comes to mind is "bollocks," meaning testicles in British English.

It's either a joke or a bad marketing decision.
 
ha ha....that means bollox in england. i was just to email this news to a friend who runs a sportshop ...but there is no way he would believe me......as a well known american tennis player once said "you cannot be serious!!!"
 
blx, interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the new cosmetics and "new technology" or what kind of black magic goes into the new Wilson frames.
 
I bet the shop owner is a Brit with sense of humor...well done.

Anyway, who really cares the name of stick? It's all marketing BS.
