Zverev is set to have Murray like career or even better in non slam events. And it's very likely he will pick up few Slams here and there. So in the end I think he will have Murray like overall achievements.

Its funny how combiningly they're still only 1/3rd of Murray.

Your math game seems to be weak ;)

Murray has 20 big titles (3x GS, 14x Masters, 2x OG, 1 WTF)
The next-gen combined have 19 big titles...

That's almost the same as Murray.

Either way, Zverev will end up having more big titles than Murray once he is done with his career.

Yeah, but if they are all M1000s, it won't matter. *jk*

Talking about slams only bruh.
Come on.....

Zed is tall as balls, his body will need to cooperate for a long fruitful career.

Are they better than lost gen?

LostGen were playing against B3/4 when B3/4 were in their primes, and aren't much younger than Djok/Ned if at all. They definitely had it worse.

NextGen are lucky that they're coming into their own just as Fedal are crumbling and Djok is soon to follow.

Lost Gen were bad anyway. Next Gen are definitely better than them.

Not better than the guys before the Lost Gen though.

It'll be the Alcaraz generation that will benefit most from the demise of the Big 3. He'll be hitting 21 just as Djokovic is retiring and Nadal, Federer and Murray have long gone, and if he's beasting the likes of Tsitsipas at 18 YO at a slam, then he'll be scooping up most of the big prizes.

No slams for anyone just yet, but as far as big titles are concerned, we're starting to see the numbers pile up now. Will try to keep this thread updated to see how they are all doing and what kind of big title spread each one has. Not counting Thiem in this, as he is not part of this generation.

Impressive by Zverev but I’m afraid he’s gonna go down as the most accomplished player to never win a slam.

I have copied your post into the OP. Many thanks for staying on top of this.

Hitman, how are you buddy. Good to see your post, was really worried about you.

Where are you currently. How are things over there

Thank you my good friend. I'm alive, but I have seen hell. You don't really want to know what I have seen and experienced.

I will say this, I cannot say that I am safe, but only safer. If it is OK with you, I really don't want to say anymore than that, though I truly appreciate your concern. Talk to me about tennis, trust me, you will be helping me a lot by doing that. :)

Rightfully said hitman. All i want and pray that you safe.Dont want to know about or you to revisit hell. Wont help anyone

And yes tennis would be a good distraction. And the upcoming Roland Garros with Nadal, Djokovic and Alcaraz in play :)

2 new additions to active players with big titles with Busta and coric probably a sign of things to come with the big 2 focussing more on slams as well as Novak not playing until restrictions allow.. We will probably see more wide open events and big titles go to randoms we never foresee before the tournament begins

This stat really does show how far apart the big 3 are from everyone else of their generation. It also shows that Murray is clearly in his own little tier where he's well behind big 3 but miles better than anyone else from his era.

I guess it also shows how much Zverev has underachieved at majors considering he's won more big titles than any other player (outside the top four) since the turn of the century

Yes spot on!

This will certainly need updating after today.
Where do we draw the cutoff for the generations?

We have Thiem, Raonic, Dimi leading Lost Gen.

The Little 3 of Med-Zed-Tsits leading the Next Gen.

Alcaraz, Rune, heading up… what do we call it? … MiniGen?

This will certainly need updating after today.

Wouldn't say miles better since Wawrinka equaled him in the slam count department.

Every time I watch Tsitsipas I struggle to find anything super special about his game. Kind of reminds me of Haas, he can do a lot of things but not sure he's really the best at anything.
