Nadal can't even win the wtf during it's meme times. He'll never win it, but at least non slam losses don't bother me anymore.this is the fifth year in a row when a Big 3 member won't win the WTF
let's make these threads when something new actually happens, like them not winning a GS in a year
Yeah but at least Djokovic showed up in the final twice since 2015. No both he and Nadal are getting outplayed by the new gen.this is the fifth year in a row when a Big 3 member won't win the WTF

outplayed? they both choked if anythingYeah but at least Djokovic showed up in the final twice since 2015. No both he and Nadal are getting outplayed by the new gen.
Exactly. If he couldn't do it this year, he'll never win it. Things could be more favorable for him when it moves to Turin but he'll be too old to win by then. He's already struggling to hang with Thiem and Med in long rallies over 2-3 sets. Things will only get worse for him as he gets older.Nadal can't even win the wtf during it's meme times. He'll never win it, but at least non slam losses don't bother me anymore.
Federer will be 40 in August. He should not be winning against anyone in top 20.Federer will never win another significant match against Thiem/Medvedev. Djokovic/Nadal might luck out a few, however!
I still think that Djokovic is a lock for Wimbledon and has decent chances at AO. He might end up with more Wimbledon titles than AO titles, who knows.Djokovic’s window is closing at slams.
Nadal still has a few RGs in him.
Let Medvedev be competitive in a match against Federer first before you talk.Federer will never win another significant match against Thiem/Medvedev. Djokovic/Nadal might luck out a few, however!

Yes, and he didn't have to go through any of the behemoths. I am not saying that his win is asterisked, it is not, but he didn't exactly prove that he got over the hurdle in the Majors as far as the top dogs are concerned. That could change, but as of now that is the situation.Thiem won a GS. That's something new actually happened.
It's not about the winner. It's that both Thiem and Nadal won against Djokovic and Nadal.Didn't the last years taught us that WTF is an indicator of nothing for the next year ? Both Zverev and Tsitsipas were still flopping after their WTF win.
I've seen enough. Federer would have no chance today against Djokovic or Nadal!Let Medvedev be competitive in a match against Federer first before you talk.

Medvedev beat both Djokovic and Nadal, who'd have clubbed dear Roger!
Still says nothing untill they can confirm in Slams. It's not about the winner. It's that both Thiem and Nadal won against Djokovic and Nadal.
Dimitrov tooDidn't the last years taught us that WTF is an indicator of nothing for the next year ? Both Zverev and Tsitsipas were still flopping after their WTF win.
I didn't think it was even needed to mention him ...Dimitrov too
Wrong. If they were great successors, they would have been winning slams back in 2015-1018, denying the big three countless slams. Those 4 are great successors.
That’s one way of looking at it, but on the other hand winning how they did today is arguably more impressive than just delivering a beat down. That could easily be chalked up to a bad day at the office for the old dudes and filed away as having no bearing on a slam match (see Thiem’s numerous straight-sets clay wins over Nadal, for example). Here they came through extremely pressure-filled moments with their backs against the wall, which is likely what’ll have to happen if they want to start taking slams from the Big 2. So some very good experience to build on moving forward. Potentially.outplayed? they both choked if anything
Only after two of the big 3 didn't play and the other was defaulted. Even then he made it a whole lot harder than it should have beenThiem won a GS. That's something new actually happened.
fact is they both should've delivered a beatdown today, but they choked as well. both matches should've been won in an easier manner. making it more difficult for themselves and then getting called a fighter isn't what should be happening. That’s one way of looking at it, but on the other hand winning how they did today is arguably more impressive than just delivering a beat down. I love me some Grigor and I was so hoping he would take that win and build on itI didn't think it was even needed to mention him ...
I mean, I won’t exactly disagree but it’s also great experience to know they can turn around matches against the Big 2 from the brink of defeat, even after choking a lead.fact is they both should've delivered a beatdown today, but they choked as well. both matches should've been won in an easier manner. making it more difficult for themselves and then getting called a fighter isn't what should be happening.
Well Thiem made the final last year and if the rankings weren't all hosed up he'd be #2 easily now. Short year for Tsits, so I'd not read much into that and his stats this year have been superlative with near Roddick like serve game and approaching a Sampras like return game. Zverev is kind of a favorite whipping boy and if he were living up to his potential he'd be the one at the lead of the spearhead.Didn't the last years taught us that WTF is an indicator of nothing for the next year ? Both Zverev and Tsitsipas were still flopping after their WTF win.
Oh I'd like to see Fed v Med. Fed may stand little chance against Thiem, but I'd still favor him over Med.
I'm confused, you're telling the world you thought Thiem and Medvedev were going to crush Nole and Ned today?fact is they both should've delivered a beatdown today, but they choked as well. both matches should've been won in an easier manner. making it more difficult for themselves and then getting called a fighter isn't what should be happening.
Only on TTW are we talking about Thiem and Medvedev choking when Nole up 4-0 in deciding breaker and Ned serving for the match at 5-4 in the 2nd.I mean, I won’t exactly disagree but it’s also great experience to know they can turn around matches against the Big 2 from
the brink of defeat, even after choking a lead.
Past 4 years Murray Dimitrov zverev and Tsitsipas won WTF. Who won a major post 2016 out of those 4? That should answer the question.Thoughts?
Will Djokovic finally lose in AO and Nadal in RG next year?
I think tennis isn't in a bad state anymore. Those 4 are great successors.
Nadal did not choke today. Djokovic didnt either. Thiem and Medvedev stepped up with big shots.Only on TTW are we talking about Thiem and Medvedev choking when Nole up 4-0 in deciding breaker and Ned serving for the match at 5-4 in the 2nd.![]()
Federer has a good chance against anyone at the WTF. Last year he beat Djokovic there, and he hasn't lost a match against Nadal on HC in some time.Oh I'd like to see Fed v Med. Fed may stand little chance against Thiem, but I'd still favor him over Med.
At the end they still wonfact is they both should've delivered a beatdown today, but they choked as well. both matches should've been won in an easier manner. making it more difficult for themselves and then getting called a fighter isn't what should be happening.
In the best of five sets, on hard court?Oh I'd like to see Fed v Med. Fed may stand little chance against Thiem, but I'd still favor him over Med.
Obviously its Thiem, Med, Zed and Tsitsipas.I hope the fearsome four does not include Double Rot.
