Seriously, why should it take a huge amount of money to bring players together in such a way? They are supposed to have fun there. They should play for nothing and donate all the money. And especially Djokovic will just be happy to be able to play somewhere anyway. He will have no tournaments around Laver Cup this year.

I think Fedalovicray vs The World is just not fair. All the Stars are in Europe. They should need to make changes. Maybe Fedal vs Djokoray or any other combination. That would be really fun

What i was hoping is, (and im sure it's never going to happen ) , divide the Big 4 to...say, for example Fedovic vs Nadalray, or Fedal vs Djokorayand distribute the rest of the players between the 2 groups.
At least the 'Starstuddedness" is distributed and we get to relive the Era of the Big 4
A doubles match among the 4 would be great. I'd buy a ticket for that

I think it’s fun to have all four of them there and I will enjoy watching. What I hate is the fact it’s out of the price range of ordinary fans. Several hundred pounds for a ticket a zillion miles from the court is ridiculous and it disappoints me that that has been allowed to happen.
They really need to split the teams differently too. Far too one sided although in fairness this time, Roger will be super rusty and Novak also pretty rusty.

I only meant that Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray are not the biggest reasons Team World are massive underdogs.
Further to your proposed format, how about this: a Team Europe (TE) captain and a Team World (TW) captain pick in turns. Doesn't matter what nationality you are, this isn't the Olympics.

Imagine we have Team Europe 2: Med, Zed, Tsitsipas and Alcaraz against the Big 4? Actually I think Team Europe 2 would even be favored to take the Lover Cup from Team Europe. . I'm not even sure if Team World can actually do it against Team Europe 3: Sinner, Berrettini, Hurkacz, Rublev. Sad!

Then the teams will be changing all the time with players being in Team 1 this year and Team 2 next year.
