All,

Thought you may enjoy viewing my black dunlop max 200g with new vintage grips and guts:

One of my alltime favorite rackets with new natural gut strings and new vintage victor leather grips.
Hitting with these rackets is pure heaven and I really like the fact that they are stealth to most onlookers who have no idea they are actually classics that are almost 3 decades old, especially with the way I can crush the fuzzy balls :)

Max 200g & 150g

Joe, do you have a recommended tension when you use natural gut? Also, what is the gauge (16 or 17) you have on these 200Gs?

I had strung mine @ 50lbs with 17 Gosen Micro. BTW, I agree with you regarding the 200Gs, they do provide great feel & control (the ones in the picture are the original ~1982 two green stripe versions). The 150 G (pic below) is also a great racquet, which hits surprisingly well considering its head size (~68").

I also like the tension around 50 lbs. I usually use the thickest guage natural gut available since it will last longer, those rackets are 16g.

Fabulous, Joe. I've painted one of mine black too - it's fun having a stealth racquet. Another couple I've put on new (old stock) Dunlop leather grips, which look really cool.
