I pair my socks with the shoes. I wear white socks with white shoes. Black socks with black shoes. But I dig the white shoes, black socks combo.

I found with dyes used for socks actually change the playing characteristics. I love black socks but they end up feeling more slippery than white socks (I only play in cotton blend socks, namely the Under Armour charged cotton line), so I stick with white!

Since I go half size up I wear 2 socks so I put on black first with white on top and then I pull the white down a little so that it leave a black rim above the white

It depends entirely on what I am wearing. I like the socks and the shoes to be somewhat coordinated. And it also depends on what color my shorts are.

If the shoes are any darker than yellow or orange, then I’m going to default to a darker sock. But with white shoes or light, bright colored shoes, there’s no reason not to wear white socks.

The white/black combo is usually a no-go zone. The only player who can pull it off is a bad @SS like Fognini.

Ha. I thought the only flaw with this outfit were the socks. Part of the problem is those shoes are actually navy. So, black socks don't quite work.

Why are navy socks so hard to find? Especially Adidas. I have a couple of pair of Nike ones that I guard with my life, but the only Adidas ones I was ever able to get were the Pharell collection.

Lucky to have four off-price stores nearby, Marshalls, Gabriel Brothers, Burlington, TJ Maxx all within three miles away. Found many colors, even Thor-los a buck a pair. Have not visited many stores since our pandemic. Most are just re-opening this week.

I’m excited for some tennis stores to reopen. Right before lockdown and the pandemic I found an awesome local racquet shop with a huge selection. However there is only one tennis shop that has racquets, tennis specific clothes from Nike and Adidas, tennis shoes, and actually those Nike essentials socks. However I’m only a few hours from where TW is, I am putting it on my bucket list to visit.

Call me crazy.......but I play well in white, black, or grey shorts. Navy blue...........and I’m just off.

Play my best in cooler weather in all black.....power color I guess. Black Nike Vapor Tour Glove Clay shoes, black socks, black wind suit pants, black Nike or Adidas long sleeve shirt, black sweat band, Black Nike or Adidas hat......and a very serious look on my face.
