Blackburn Double Strung Tennis racquet...

Curiosity got the better me... I've just purchased a brand new Blackburne DS 107 , got it cheap on Fleabay.
I currently playing with a Wilson Clash 100, my former racquet was a Wilson Steam 105.

Anyone hit with a Blackburne DS before? From what I've read they are quite head heavy, it comes prestrung with Syn gut at about 53 lbs.
If deemed necessary I'll restring it with some poly to try to tone it down a bit.

It will be interesting to see how it goes, certainly a conversation starter...

I have a like new BB OS. I wish I could restring mine but can't do that on a NEOS 1000 without modifying some things. It is a ball launcher for me.

My Pro Stringer uses flying clamps so it won't be a problem for me. What strings/tension are you using?

Clamps are not the issue. Let us know if you can string it. I think you will have more problems than @graycrait does. Mounting the racket is the issue.

@Tennis_dude101 try mounting your Blackburn on your machine and see if the strings come to rest on you racket support block and s adjustment wheel, or if your racket seats down flush all the way.

Hi Irvin, Yes, I see you point about the strings resting on the support block. I'll see if there is a way around this when the racquet arrives.

You may be able to put a spacer under the racket, on both ends, to string it I’m not sure.
