Blade 16x19 2013 vs 2015

Hello Folks,

I'm interested in buying a Blade 16x19 2013, but i'm wondering if someone know's how it plays, and how it differs from the 2015 version, especially in terms of feel and comfort (stiffness). I saw some older threads on that but they did not provide a clear answer.

Thanks in advance!

The 2015 is a little more muted. The 2015 is slightly more stable/ contollable (this is splitting hairs though). The 2013 feels like it has slightly more power (again, they are both extremely close). The 2013 paint doesn't flake like the 2015.

Thanks for the reply! Is there any difference in comfort? And about the muted thing, is the 2015 that much more muted then the 2013 than the 16x19 countervail is compared to the 2015 version, or is the difference less big?

The CV is completely different and can't be compared to either of these. Its the difference between wood and graphite/ metal.

The 2015 does feel a little more muted than the 2013. Its hard to judge if this feels a whole lot different or marginally different. I would say marginally. They still hit the same ball, and each have the same characteristics - excellent knife-like performance with just enough weight in the head to punch volleys, but not a lot of control for groundstrokes. I know the 6 main strings in the middle have slightly different spacing (since the headguards don't fit) and I would give the control edge to the 2015, and the power edge to the 2013. But again, this is splitting hairs. I have one of each and rotate them. I plan to get the CV headguard for the 2015.

Thank you for your extensive response! I'll get the 2013 version then I think, if they are so alike I prefer the black paint job :)
