Blade 98 16x19

Hi guys. I currently have a 18x20 head youtek radical MP and am now getting wilsons. I think I want the 16x19 version over the 18x20 one due to its power and soon. I heard the 18x20 is too much control for the blade which is similar to my heads.

Thanks

Blade has much more power than the Head IMO. I would take the 18x20 if I was you.

But what you should really do is demo both side-by-side.

I use the blade 16x19 with spiky shark and I love it. It has nice pop but not too much. The feel is so unique IMO and I really like it. On serves it offers good power and placement and on groundies it is very controllable power. It's not too stiff either. It's worth a try!

Almost all aspects of the 16x19 are top notch, EXCEPT maneuverability at the net. It felt a bit sluggish until I put the leather grip and now it feels a bit more head light and manageable. My main point is, if you're a player that spends a lot of time at the net, you might wanna rethink getting this racquet.

for me anyways.... adding a leather grip and 2grams total at 3&9 works well. I am used to play with sticks at around the 12.2-12.3 oz range...lead at 3&9 helped out alot with stability against heavy balls... right now have my stick at about 11.8 oz ( poly or poly/syn gut and overgrip). I have lighter frame that feels like a 12+oz stick..

played my first singles match with it...played fantastic with it. Lost 6-4, 7-5 though, but I think most of that was becuase I was getting heat exhaustion and was starting to feel nausea, so wasn't moving as well.

Found my string setup to go with it...Lux 4G at 48 lbs and Pacific Space Power at 53...danng, I haven't hit the ball that well with that much control in a long time. It was one of the first times in a match I felt I could take a good cut and actually put the ball exactly where I wanted it.

I mean I could do that with my previous racquets, but not everytime like I can with this.

Was that with the 16x18 version?
